EK, the premium water-cooling gear manufacturer, is launching a new pump-reservoir combo unit with a plethora of G1/4" ports, allowing it to also act as a manifold. EK-Pro Pump Reservoir Manifold X6 D5 - Acetal has enough ports to work with a total of six water-cooling components, for example, two CPUs, two GPUs, and two radiators. It also has a dedicated fill port, a drain port with an optional QDC, and a small window for visually monitoring the coolant level.

EK-Pro Pump Reservoir Manifold X6 D5 - Acetal
This is a custom water-cooling reservoir, routing, and pump solution. It can act as a regular pump-reservoir combo, be used like a manifold, or, practically, as a distribution plate, even though its aesthetics vastly differ from most distro plates. The X6 in the name designates the number of components it can directly connect as a manifold, and D5 indicates a single D5 pump pushing the liquid around the loop. It can be mounted to the case in many different ways. EK-Pro Pump Reservoir Manifold X6 D5 has M4 screw threads on the side opposite to ports and on the backside, allowing for plenty of mounting options, multiplied by the bracket with 120 mm fan mounting hole spacing (105 mm). A staggering 14 G1/4" ports are available, of which two act as dedicated fill and drain ports.

Genuine D5 Pump
This combo unit comes with a powerful yet silent PWM-controlled D5 pump. The goal was to make a product with enough power to offer excellent reliability and outstanding performance with multiple blocks and radiators while keeping the noise down to a minimum. The D5 pump has been updated with the latest G3 (Generation 3) variant and comes with a SATA power connector, following the latest PC industry trend to decrease the use of 4-pin Molex cables.

Drain Port With QDC
EK-Pro Pump Reservoir Manifold X6 D5 - Acetal comes with a drain port and a Quick Disconnect Coupling/Fitting and tubing for the user to be able to drain their system directly out of the case without the need for any other tools. You simply slide on the part of the QDC with the tubing onto the other half of the QDC installed on the combo unit and effortlessly drain the reservoir. Using the QDC is entirely optional but brings many QoL benefits.

Build Materials
Most of this combo unit is made of durable Black POM acetal, with the addition of a stainless steel plate that goes over the front of the combo and has a sliver opened for the see-through acrylic window.

The pump is held by a black-anodized aluminium holder. Neither the steel plate nor the aluminium holder is in contact with the coolant, so there is no risk of corrosion due to the mixing of metals. The only metal touching the coolant is the nickel-plated brass G1/4" plugs that close the unused ports - high-quality O-rings seal coolant.

Technical Details
Reservoir:
  • Dimensions with the attached pump (W x D x H): 75 x 115 x 235 mm
  • Dimensions with the attached QDC (W x D x H): 75 x 115 x 235 mm
Pump Motor:
  • Motor: Electronically commuted spherical motor
  • Rated voltage: 12 V DC
  • Power consumption: 23 W
  • Maximum pressure head: 3.9 m
  • Maximum flow: 1500L/h
  • Maximum system temperature: 60°C
  • Materials: Stainless Steel, PPS-GF40, EPDM O-rings, Sluminium Oxide, Hard Coal
  • Power connector: SATA and 4-pin PWM FAN connector
Operational Regime:
  • PWM duty cycle: ~ 20-100%
  • Default behavior: Runs at 100% duty cycle when no PWM feedback signal is present

Availability and Pricing
The EK-Pro Pump Reservoir Manifold X6 D5 - Acetal is available for pre-order through the EK Webshop and partner reseller network. It is expected to ship out in late December 2023. The manufacturer-suggested retail price (MSRP), VAT included, for the EK-Pro Pump Reservoir Manifold X6 D5 - Acetal is set at €379.90.

Extremely clean and nice.

I am shocked this does not offer a dual D5 pump. Considering this is used in high-grade workstations.

Interesting I am thinking you could use that with a RAD and a GPU block.

Exactly!

I love stuff like this, becuase now it makes the system design, and layout a lot easier.

What would be nice, if they had a small format ITX version!

What if you cut off a few of those top holes. This could be a nice one!

No wonder a good loop can cost as much as a half decent complete PC with these prices. My loop is about £700, so with this it would be close to £1k. I love my H2O cooling but i know why it's not for everyone.

If i come into a nice wedge, i'd like one of these though.

Where did my water pressure go? Oh right, spread out all over the darn place.

Looks great. I like what appears to be a very practically placed drain port at the bottom. Unlike the radiator mount pump+reservoairs they sell, that drainport is half useless. But, these manifolds are not my thing anyway.

Hi,
Yeah ek charges per hole and they are proud of their plugs
At least this one has a D5 pump included and sata powered

Nice but the price is shocking tbh, typical EK+ EK tax
Manifolds alone have just been EOLed though so this one is at least worth considering.

I guess it's good for multi rad/CPU/GPU loops, but now mine is single rad/cpu/gpu so this would be no use for me really.

Hi,
For an existing build changing large components is ruled by budget
If it isn't broken = don't fix it

I rarely like ek new stuff but this one is pretty neat and I can see lots of ways to setup stuff with it.
But yeah I've got two loops already so I'm done with those to ;)

The real question though is if EK learned from Linus' teething issues and from plumbing professionals and added restrictors to the outlets to ensure equal flow rates. Because in Linus' case, the lack of built-in restrictors saw a notable pressure drop on systems furthest from the main outlet.

Hi,
Well the only benefit would be having multiple height holes for different mounting places
Not filling all the holes with lines to different parts in the loop
One out and one in and fill the rest with plugs which yeah makes this item a weird addition unless going for a machine gun kelly build

Fluid would always flow through the least restrictive route.
