With Black Friday week coming up, we have a slow week of new game releases, although there's at least one bigger release this week (on Steam), compared to all the other games. This week's biggest release has something to do with asteroids and space ships. This is followed by time loops, fewer words, strange syllables, ninjas and co-op backrooms. Make what you want of that, but it's what's on offer this coming week.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series / This week's major release / Monday 20 November
Experience the exciting universe of The Expanse like never before in Telltale's latest adventure, The Expanse: A Telltale Series. Take on the role of Camina Drummer and explore the dangerous and uncharted edges of the Belt aboard the Artemis. From scavenging wrecked ships in a zero-g environment, to surviving a mutiny, to combating fearsome pirates, you make the difficult choices and reveal Camina Drummer's resolve in this latest Telltale adventure.

In Stars And Time / Monday 20 November
In Stars and Time tells the story of Siffrin and their adventurer friends—a found family bound together by fate in order to end the tyrannical reign of an evil king. But as victory is just within the party's grasp, a tragedy occurs, the clock resets, and they have to do it all again. As Siffrin's the only one who notices this loop, each new start wears away at his cheerful veneer, yet he keeps going in hopes he can end this temporal tragedy once and for all.

Worldless / Tuesday 21 November
Worldless is set in a newborn universe based on entities trapped in an eternal conflict by the polarising nature of their attractions. These interactions can result in an exchange of their polarities, but this process is very unstable, and who knows what new results can come from it…

Oxytone / Wednesday 22 November
Are you ready for a unique adventure like no other? Oxytone invites you to explore the depths of your mind while offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for those seeking relaxation. For more determined players, there are 99 challenges, colorful themes to unlock, and 12 meticulously designed maps. Oxytone is the ultimate puzzle game, equally easy to learn and challenging to master.

Ninja Issen / Thursday 23 November
Ninja Issen is a retro-style ninja platformer that features a variety of hyper action, 1 vs. many battles, and dynamic boss fights. Paying homage to the ninja games of the classic 8-16 bit era, Ninja Issen is full of ninjas, robots, neon lights, and dark atmosphere that overwhelms the streets of the future metropolis.

Beneath The Earth - Backrooms / Friday 24 November
Beneath The Earth - Backrooms is a Co-Op horror game that can be played with at least 1 and up to 4 players. Where you and your friends will fight to escape from the different levels of the backrooms, solving different puzzles with different mechanics in each one.
This game is based on the famous "horrifying creepypasta of cursed dreams" with many real references implemented such as iconic entities and important elements. Explore the seemingly infinite expanse of eerily familiar levels in the backrooms.

Do you remember the bold claims that EPIC want a free and open market, and they want to use the Store for that? Years gone by, and they are by far the worst thing for market split..........and they don't even make money with it. This is the way to get people back into the sailing seas.

So there will be other ways to play The Expanse, sooner or later.

I was interested for the TT:Expanse, but then saw its EGS only. That And when it does hit Steam/Gog it will probably infested with the EGS online services. I like TT games, but is an increadably shorted sighted move, so will be another game/dev I will be moving on from.

This is the way to get people back into the sailing seas.
Indeed.

Treated myself with RTX 4070.

EPIC is great. I have over 200 games over there that they gave away for free. Also they take 12% cut from devs for every sale. Greedy Valve takes 30% for listing the game. Most Epic haters don't even know why they hate Epic. They just hate it because ppl like to hate.
I treated myself with used RTX 4070 for this black friday time of the year. . Was thinking on buying PS5 disc edition, but realized there is no reason to own it now that Sony is porting their exclusives over to PC. I am slightly interested in PSVR 2, but the fresnel lenses and reprojection issues in combination with tiny library are a deal killer. Think I'll just save up for Quest 3.

Well I was looking at the linked website:

and there is no steam listed:

In this case, they might have changed their mind, but my pov does not change. EGS is a pain for players.

I really enjoyed both the books and the TV show for The Expanse. If this game gets good reviews, I'll definitely pick it up.

That's because the game was in fact a "EPIC Exclusive", for around 4 months. ;)

SteamDB has no data yet, but it's almost certain since the game is running on the Unreal Engine 4. :) Doesn't matter if it's only a single player game that doesn't require any online features. They put the EpicOnlineServices basically in every game they get their hands on, on every platform. And the main purpose of their "Services" is to mine & sell you data.

I played The Expanse: A Telltale Series for a bit and while I do like the story of Drummer (in the tv series) it just feels very empty without the Roci and its crew.

I really enjoyed Telltale's The Walking Dead. I haven't played any of their other games, but I would definitely be more inclined to try their game than any other

Thanks for the information!

I had an EPIC account for years before Fortnite, when they brought out Fortnite and moved the Unreal team to support them I left them, including my assets ;)

EGS was another reminder for me to stick with my way, even if I miss out on something.

And thats my primary problem with bollox that plaguing a growing number of games. I am a SP gamer, period. I zero interested in MP or Co-Op. For one game, I had to make my way to high seas to be able enjoy what I paid for without all the B$. Customers are being penalised for doing the right thing, so either the devs will learn or they wont.
