ARCTIC is expanding its range of server fans with two new models. Following the launch of the S4028 last year, ARCTIC is once again bringing its cooling expertise to the server market with the new S8038-7K and S8038-10K fans.

Efficient, reliable, durable and quiet - the demands on server cooling are high. ARCTIC's new S8038 80 mm fans are optimized for precisely these requirements. Equipped with an actively cooled motor, not only is the service life increased by up to 50 %, energy consumption is also reduced. The double ball bearing guarantees smooth continuous operation and resists external influences such as heat and dust.

Strong performance, no compromises: With a wide speed range, the S8038 offer an excellent balance between cooling performance and noise emission. Their high static pressure and airflow make them versatile all-rounders. They fit into 2U server cases and serve as an upgrade or replacement for CPU fans, radiator fans or for system ventilation.

Reliable and robust, the S8038 guarantees performance in various hardware environments and ensures efficient cooling and minimal downtime.

Specifications of the S8038-7K
  • 500-7000 rpm
  • 4-pin connection
  • 80 x 80 x 38 mm
  • Static pressure: 25 mmH2O
  • Airflow: 70 CFM | 118.93 m³/h

Kind of hoping they make some 120mm and 140mm versions. I find that some server fans can be actually quieter while moving more air than regular consumer-grade fans (mainly Sanyo Denki and some Nidec/SERVOs).

Odd fan hub. I wonder if dust accumulation there would be a problem after some time?

love server fans, even if you have to tune them down a bit, they still move a lot of air and are very durable, I have some NMBs and delta, reaaly good stuff

I still have all of my server fans. They dominate every other consumer fan that I have with great ease :)
