In just two weeks, CD PROJEKT RED will release Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game brings the full story of a merc named V, combining Cyberpunk 2077 and its spy-thriller expansion Phantom Liberty, as well as every update to them ever released, and will be available digitally and physically in select markets starting December 5th.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is an open-world RPG containing two powerful adventures: the base game of Cyberpunk 2077, taking place in the dark future of Night City, and Phantom Liberty, a spy-thriller story set in the walled-off district of Dogtown. Players take on the role of V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary, and embark on a fight for survival filled with story-defining decisions, action-packed gameplay, and unforgettable characters, including rockerboy Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) and FIA sleeper agent Solomon Reed (played by Idris Elba).

This new release is the perfect way to experience every story of the dark future; it also contains the free Update 2.0, which overhauled many of the game's systems, introducing dynamic skill trees, high-octane vehicle combat, and enhanced enemy and police AI - as well as adding new weapons, vehicles, and clothes. The release is bolstered with a set of previously released digital goodies available as part of the "My Rewards" program, available to all who register.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will be available for purchase digitally on December 5th. The physical version's release is planned to start on December 5th in select markets through local distributors.

  • Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition combines every story of the dark future in one ultimate package, featuring the talents of Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand and Idris Elba as Solomon Reed.
  • The game will be available to purchase digitally and as a physical box - marking the first physical edition of Cyberpunk 2077 for next-gen consoles.
  • Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition releases December 5th for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

previously released digital goodies available as part of the "My Rewards" program, available to all who register.

I think you just have to register through the cd project launcher, you dont actually have to own this to get those bonus goodies, maybe i am reading it wrong.

Many things have been said about Cyberpunk, but to me this game is all about atmosphere. Gameplay-wise Cyberpunk is at best decent; story and side quest are above average, but your choices awfully don't matter and you'll see it with secound attempt even trying hard to do everything opposite (don't know how with Phantom Liberty, though); game is still not perfectly polished... but I spent here ~120h twice :D It was like quest after quest with not using fast travel even once due to driving, sightseeing and vibing being the best thing in this game...

this is a healthy outlook to have, and its how i treat a lot of my games. I'm there for the immersion and to see the beautiful art of it, in my recent thread about immortals of aveum, i tell people to slow down and look around, cause its really pretty game.

There're many aspects which can make a game, but atmosphere is really strong one due to hitting you all the time. Sightseeing, appreciating level design with it's details and panoramas, kinda slow food of gaming are another, so I totally admit that it's good to slow down and take time to just notice all of it ;) Playing like this is not missing that and just feels more natural, better. For such moments I even recommend using one of additional mouse buttons as one toggling walking slow/fast :D (or it's just me finding it more comfortable than using traditional here Caps or Tab)

The cash grabs are real with these AAA companies.

They're all rotten to the core, even if they we're good guys in the past.

I think I'm inclined to agree here. The first playthrough was colored by all the negativity for sure, (although I still think a lot of the game is underdelivered, still; the new skill trees are an improvement, but for the rest of it, not much has changed since launch) but when I replayed it a month ago I found myself doing exactly what you did. Just enjoying the sights. Because yeah, the city definitely does breathe something special, even if the gameplay in it is often more hilarious than in-tune with that atmosphere. On that last bit... I also had a lot of fun creating a mayhem of crashing vehicles on busy streets by just... well sometimes just passing by really. If you take the time to let the simulation run, funny stuff happens left and right, and its definitely buggy, but feels like a feature at this point.

If your system specs are up to date your PC is as proper as mine to say the least. I'm enjoying the game at 4K60 (with FSR: Balanced, of course). Considering you got a cheat of the DLSS you can grab even more fidelity off it.

Many times yes. You almost must treat the game as a comedy to get the most of it. Almost everything works not the way it should, and it's both hideous and marvellous.

I guess proper is subjective but I've finished the game with no issues on the rig under my specs and I even had RT on Ultra with DLSS Quality ofc. '~45-50 FPS on average is completely fine with me in a single player game'
The game itself I've liked quite a lot and it kept me interested/immersed in general for many many hours, I did not jump on the hype train and only started playing the game ~1 year after the realase or so. 'bought the Goty edition on GoG'
Personally I've had no serious game breaking bugs either during my playthrough only some minor 'funny' ones like random collision related bugs.

I do plan a second playthrough just not sure when I will have the time for it.

Is it gonna be free for those who own the original(s), in good old CD Projekt Red fashion?

Same here. :) I finished the base game on a 2070, no performance issues, no game breaking bugs, and I quite enjoyed it.

The hype kept the game hovering in the sales top10 since release, so I guess it will take close to a decade before it drops to 7,50€.

Fun fact: Cyberpunk 2077 (release 10th Dec 2020) historical low 13,24€ & Phantom Liberty DLC historical low 23,99€. "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" which was equal popular never dropped below 8,20€ (Game of the Year Edition) since it's release on the 30th Aug 2016. In the current sales numbers the Standard Edition sits right now on rank #34, the GOTY Edition on #64 on GG.Deals. Good games sell, no matter the age.
