Porsche Design is again collaborating with AGON by AOC, one of the world's leading gaming monitor and IT accessories brands, to present the Porsche Design | AOC AGON PRO PD49 curved gaming monitor - a combination of award-winning design and technological prowess and a statement of style and performance. Crowned by the "iF Design Award 2023" and the "Red Dot Award: Product Design 2023" and powered by a state-of-the-art QD-OLED panel in a 49" (124.46 cm) size and 32:9 aspect ratio, the PD49 delivers e-sports level performance for high-end competition: 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms GtG response time.

With a thickness of approximately 5 mm, the PD49 houses a curved, extremely thin QD-OLED panel that stretches over a commanding 49" display. Its 1800R curvature encompasses the user's entire field of view. Boasting a breath-taking Double QHD resolution of 5120 × 1440 pixels, it is set to redefine visual experiences. Achieving a peak brightness of 1000 nits and certified with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, it showcases radiant visuals, deeply saturated with 1.07 billion colours thanks to its 10-bit colour depth, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 colour range. With exceptional HDR reproduction, the PD49 becomes a window to magnificent game worlds in story-driven, single-player games. With an e-sports ready refresh rate of 240 Hz and a performant response time of 0.03 ms Grey-to-Grey (GtG), ghosting becomes a relic of the past. Thanks to the inclusion of Adaptive-Sync for variable refresh rate support, every game sequence flows with tear-free, immersive continuity.

Functional design meets cutting-edge technology
The design approach of the PD49 mirrors the intricate details of a Porsche sports car. The PD49's sandblasted aluminium cast stand, reminiscent of the steering wheel and wheel spokes of a sports car, anchors the monitor with a sense of grandeur. The rear of the monitor is inspired by the radiator grille of a Porsche 911. From a unique On-Screen Display design to an assertive boot-up logo, every detail underscores elegance. The dynamic and customisable RGB Light FX elements embellish both the back and front logos, oozing style with every glow.

Always connected
Beyond its visual prowess, the PD49 boasts a suite of connectivity options. HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 support ensure that the latest devices feel right at home. The included USB hub, complemented by four USB 3.2 ports and an RJ-45 input, ensures seamless connectivity. A standout feature is the USB-C port with a generous 90 W Power Delivery, allowing devices to stay charged while immersing in the gaming world. The built-in KVM switch allows users to connect two computers simultaneously, partitioning the Double QHD screen for multitasking aficionados.

Gaming reimagined
Features including a Frame Counter, a customisable crosshair overlay (Dial Point), and optimised low-input lag give users an edge over their competitors and altogether elevate the gaming experience. Integrated stereo speakers, delivering 2×8 W, ensure that the audio experience is as immersive as the visuals.

The Porsche Design AGON PRO PD49 is available now in Porsche Design stores and specialist retailers at an RRP of £1,899.

I spend about .0002% of my use time looking at the back of my G9.

It's a nice design and the specs are solid and the price is competitive. And now you can tell the ladies you "drive" a Porche

That is funny!

I see more Porshe design products lately, i.e. Lenovo.

Hi,
Seems to me they'll still be watching one

Has anyone, ever, said "I wish my monitor was designed by Porsche"? I have no idea why these design partnerships exist. What does this monitor do better than others?
And what about other Porsche designs? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elefant

Porsche helped AOC design a monitor stand around a G9 OLED panel, and are overcharging for it, great, I guess. Would've probably been nicer if they sold for less than the Samsung Model.
Why not 5K/2K finally???
What's happening with motherglasses at LG and Samsung?
See the G9 57" for all your dual 4k needs. Won't be able to run any games, but you can say you have a ridiculously high resolution and that you can't see the pixels if you sit way too close to the screen.

For most people, 27" 1440p is a good compromise between pixel density and performance, and this 49" OLED is just a Samsung OLED panel, which in turn is the equivalent of 2x1440p panels side by side.

Just wondering where the wheels are and what CC the motor is /s

A car company having their fingers in a PC monitor design, are they bored of designing cars already.

Imo the idea is stupid, it's just a monitor, unless they think maybe rich porsche owning gamers will buy it. Will they be having car matched colour designs too?

Porsche Design is a separate entity, no connection to Porsche engineering other than name. It's run by a different group, really just silly designs.

I know these are probably just some quickie PR renders, but in the 1st pic on the left, the center strut of the base angles to the left...but in the next pic from the rear, it still points to the left, when it should be facing to the right... is that strut adjustable, or are my tired ole eyes playing tricks on me AGAIN ?

And wtf is up with that gigantic bottom chin from the 80's.... it's frameless on 3 sides, which is cool, but then that chin just makes it look really outdated IMHO...

Which one is the air cooled Porsche diesel?

On another note, that car really is timelessly beautiful.

The center strut doesn't angle left or right, but it goes backwards. So everything is correct in the pictures ;)

Reactions: bug
A single 49" 32:9 monitor with 5120x1440p resolution - > 2x27" 1440p monitors side-by-side.

I guess for less than the cost of this, you could get two half decent 27" 1440 and just have them side by side, maybe.

But they wouldn't be designed by Porsche. So you'll be like really, really sad about it :slap:
