Elmor Labs unveiled plans for its own OCP (overclock panel) accessory, which combines the most important machine controls and diagnostic readouts from a compatble motherboard into a handy desktop gadget, so overclockers don't crane their neck over to the test bench while staring at a black screen between OC attempts. ASUS has developed such an accessory a few years ago, although the last such device was released almost a decade ago during the Socket LGA1150 days, and although ASUS continued to release high-end motherboards with the OCP headers, the panel itself has been hard to come by in the market. This is what Elmor hopes to address.

Elmor's panel looks like a scientific instrument, a big departure from the ROG aesthetic of ASUS's OCP. Each of its buttons is an bare SMD switch that imitates the look of some 2-pin threaded connectors on instruments. There is a monochrome LED matrix display that puts out pretty much all the real-time monitoring and diagnostic readouts as the ASUS OCP. Elmor Labs hasn't put out pricing information yet.

I'm not on a crusade, but pre-production renders used to look quite sharp. Now, it seems, companies just say, don't pay a graphic artist, let an AI do it, it'll be just as good.

Wrong - look at that AI lettering... It's embarassing.

You're right !
The 1st photo looks like a pre-production 3D printed mockup...
The last photo is way better presenting the product !

I imagine the reason Asus stopped making them was because they kept breaking after a few uses. I found the one on my rampage v extreme very useful but after going through 3 of them I called it a day. If I remember correctly the rampage v edition 10 didn't come with one. If this works and keeps working it will be very useful for bench work.

Those pics are from Videocardz. They love AI upscaling and turning everything into garbled mush.

Most of that panel can be found physically on the Apex in buttons and switch from. This is just for those who do LN2 and can't get to all those switches once it's iced over.
