If you like Japanese games, then the fourth week of the new year is for you, as we have no less than four new Japanese games being released this week, which almost has to be something of a record for simultaneous releases in a week. The AA title this week is one of the famous 3D fighting titles and if that's not your cup of matcha, then we have plenty of other games on offer for you. As for the rest of this week, we have some pirates, gates to other worlds, an open world co-op RPG and the aforementionedJapanese games.

Tekken 8 / This week's AA Title / Friday 26 January
Get ready for the next chapter in the legendary fighting game franchise, Tekken 8.
Completely redesigned character visuals. Elaborate, highly-detailed models built from the ground and high-fidelity graphics break the limits of new-generation hardware by adding a new weight and atmosphere to Tekken's signature battles. Vivid environments and destructible stages combine to create an overwhelming sense of immersion, creating the ultimate play experience.

Pirates Journey / Monday 22 January
You and your crew have been shipwrecked on a tropical island in the late 1600s. At the beginning of the adventure, you find yourself with only a few basic supplies, including ropes, sticks, and stones. With skill and cunning, you can survive on the island and thrive as a pirate crew.

Stargate: Timekeepers / Tuesday 23 January
Stargate: Timekeepers is a real-time tactics game where you lead a team of specialists through a story-driven campaign set in the SG-1 universe. Sneak your characters behind enemy lines, use their unique skills, craft the perfect plan to unravel a timeloop mystery, and defeat the Goa'uld threat.

Enshrouded / Wednesday 24 January
You are Flameborn, last ember of hope of a dying race. Awaken, survive the terror of a corrupting fog, and reclaim the lost beauty of your kingdom. Venture into a vast world, vanquish punishing bosses, build grand halls and forge your path in this co-op survival action RPG for up to 16 players.

Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes / Wednesday 24 January
The newest riveting installment in the epic Under Night In-Birth saga rises from the Abyss! Improved visuals and battle system! Witness the curtain fall on the tale of the Hollow Night. Vie for supremacy through exhilarating combat and a deep, robust battle system!

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy / Thursday 25 January
Join rookie attorney Apollo Justice and his mentor, the legendary Phoenix Wright, in this collection of 3 games! This title features the 14 episodes of "Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney", "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies", and "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice", and the 2 previously DLC-only Special Episodes for a total of 16 episodes!

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth / Friday 26 January
Two larger-than-life heroes, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu are brought together by the hand of fate, or perhaps something more sinister… Live it up in Japan and explore all that Hawaii has to offer in an RPG adventure so big it spans the Pacific.

Game of All Time. For true masochists. Just remembered I didn't like it back then. Refreshing memory, no wonder, lol.

Oh good, another Survival game filled with boring menial labor, that will probably become popularized by some Twitch Roleplayers that make a 3/10 game look like a 7/10 game.

If it's not obvious, I really hate the survival game genre. The majority of them barely have any actual game to them, and the ones that do almost always have either awful AI, or just awful combat in general, because many of the devs churning out this garbage are inexperienced, or simply lazy and looking to try and nab a quick $ by simply buying some assets and calling it a 'game'.

It was that or one of two horror survival games...

Oh, I'll mos def look at Stargate: Timekeepers. I hope it has the same humor as the show..and is somewhat good oc.

Infinite Wealth, followed by Apollo Justice.

Tekken! I've been waiting for this on pins and needles, I do hope it delivers!

There's a demo you can try first.

yeah i'll take a look at the demo, but it has some reddish flags for me:
never heard of it
episodic
apparently low budget

the other game that seem interesting is enshrouded, but as usual, needs 1+ year to be playable
