This looks worse than the Z333 which is 90. I mean, I can't hear them side by side, but just looking at the specs I would never pay that much for this.
I know inflation is shitty and all, but I only paid 100 for the Z625 a couple years ago and that's going to destroy this. Even now there are refurbished versions for close to this.

I actually have the 20 dollar pebbles that I bought for my mom. I wasn't impressed. They are sitting in a box in the closet.

I would include the "But Expensive" tag on this one. For the price, they should have the only thing that makes these speakers sound "better".

These are too expensive for what they are: a speaker set for someone with tight space, because as you mentioned, the low frequency is lacking, and the sub is mostly for show. Almost any bigger 2.0 BT speaker with higher power output will make these sound like a toy.

Few things put me off:

1) The requirement of USB-C Adapter affects it's output.
This is simply bad seriously as no matter how good the speaker is.
It is still dependent on the USB-C Adapter use.

2) The high price which you can get a proper speaker which comes
with a AC adapter.

A proper speaker will be better than this, the RMS/output will be consistent than variable
depending on the input current.

These don't seem particularly competitive to anyone willing to shop around a little, but I know I'm not the intended market for these. The klipsch 2.1 set released 20 years ago is the same price as these today and is almost certainly better. These have RGB though, which we all know is all that really matters when it comes to speakers.

@Inle Hi, can you please tell if the headphone output is amplified?
One way to tell is to plug the 32 ohm (or higher) headset in a pc with only onboard audio and then directly in the speakers and see the difference.

The use and proliferation of "USB-C PD" connectors intrigues me. I don't have much equipment that follows this pattern, but I can imagine a future where a bunch of USB-C PD / compatible adapters can be swapped for various components and... I think I like that.

I would much rather get a Yamaha or Blaupunkt soundbar over this. Atleast those can be repurposed for TV without any limitations.

They're separate ports. USB-PD goes to the charger, USB-C goes to your PC.

Also, my set included a 67w GaN charger. I purchased it directly from Creative.

Them and the original with 2.1 are a pretty good deal. In fact for a gaming PC... I would recommend a set of 2.1 and 2.0 Pepple's to get a 4.1 system over this more expensive 2.1 system. So long as your sound device/card can handle it.

Yes, you can use both USB-C ports at the same time. Or, to put it differently, you can use USB-C as input while boosting the power of the speakers through the USB-C PD port.

Any small studio monitors (like PreSonus Eris E3.5 at $100) is a way better buy for both sound quality and price.
