AMD Releases Software Adrenalin 24.4.1 WHQL GPU Drivers

AMD has released the latest version of Adrenalin Edition graphics drivers, version 24.4.1 WHQL. It includes support for the upcoming Manor Lords game, as well as add performance improvements for HELLDIVERS 2 game, and adds AMD HYPR-Tune support to Nightingale and SKULL AND BONES games. New drivers also expand Vulkan API extensions support with VK_KHR_shader_maximal_reconvergence and VK_KHR_dynamic_rendering_local_read, as well as include support and optimizations for Topaz Gigapixel AI application, versions 7.1.0 and 7.1.1, with new "Recovery" and "Low Resolution" AI upscaling features.

New AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 24.4.1 WHQL drivers come with several fixes, including performance improvements for HELLDIVERS 2, fix for intermittent application crash in Lords of the Fallen on Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards, various artifact issues in SnowRunner and Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition on Radeon RX 6800 and Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards, fix for intermittent application crash or driver timeout in Overwatch 2 when Radeon Boost is enabled on Radeon RX 6000 and above series graphics cards, intermittent crash while changing Anti-Aliasing settings in Enshrouded on Radeon 7000 series graphics cards, and various application freeze or crash issues with the SteamVR while using Quest Link on Meta Quest 2 or when screen sharing with Microsoft Teams.

  • Rainbow-like artifacts may appear in water environments while playing Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition on Radeon RX 6000 series graphics products.
  • Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing Overwatch 2 with Radeon Boost enabled on Radeon RX 6000 and above series graphics products.
  • Intermittent application freeze when first launching SteamVR using the Quest Link feature on Meta Quest 2.
  • Intermittent system or application crash when screen sharing using Microsoft Teams.
  • Intermittent application crash changing Anti-Aliasing settings while playing Enshrouded on Radeon 7000 series graphics products.
  • Display colors may appear "dim" or "washed out" after closing Enshrouded with Auto HDR enabled.

Known Issues
  • Black corruption may be observed while playing Alien Isolation on Radeon 7000 series graphics products.
  • Corruption may be observed while playing Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition or Alan Wake 2 with Radeon Boost enabled. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to disable Radeon Boost as a temporary workaround.
  • Max Payne 1 and 2 may fail to launch on RDNA 3 series graphics products when Anti-Aliasing is enabled.
  • Texture flicking may be observed while playing Hitman: Contracts.[Resolution targeted for 24.5.1]
  • Intermittent stutter immediately after alt-tab with Performance Metrics Overlay enabled. [Resolution targeted for 24.5.1]
  • Audio and video may intermittently become out of sync while recording using the AV1 codec in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition. [Resolution targeted for Q3]

Had just installed windows 11 updates with system crash - hopefully this will fix it
 
It surprises me to see how Vulkan continues to infinitely gain new extensions...
 
Wow support for Topaz Gigapixel AI. I hope this improves the render time by a factor of 100. I tried to use the recovery option and it said it would take 1h42m on my 6800XT.
 
I wonder what kind of powermanagment (?) error hits dual ccd / AMD GPU users like me in windows 11. Latest Quality update to windows led to blue screen during loading in games and apparently the new driver from AMD for the GPU fixed it?

I wonder if its all the AI tinkering from Microsoft and Intel/AMD that gives these strange errors on both dual CCD and i9
 
oddly, this update actually decreased the performance of Helldivers 2 on my PC. What's that about?

I think it's a lot easier to think of it as MS doing, well, anything with windows. Anytime they touch anything they break something.

Wow! It only took them two years to fix that! Finally!
 
The boost for HD2 in these drivers has been pretty nice easily seeing a 20% gain in fps.

Did a quick capture on the ship and gpu and cpu usage are both up.
