Watercool Announces the MO-RA IV Radiators for 200mm Fans

Finally, MORA refresh is in. Old design was showing some age given how liquid cooling has changed. Glad that WC went with 2x200 model. At this size it has much more evaporation area than the thickest 560 on the market. I really would love to see all bigger cases coming only with 200mm rad mounts without mods (e.g. you can squeeze 400mm in V3000+ on the bottom -flat- and on top in rotated layout, but it takes a bit of work to do it.) or removing external panels (Thermaltake CTE750)
 
Seems nothing special. It is an ordinary heat exchanger in a fancy box.
What I want to see in a package is a water cooling radiator in an weather proof box and a kit that could goes trough an average windows sealing, so I can push the heat outside, instead of heating my room.
 
This looks fantastic. I've been wanting to downsize my main rig case and a few quick disconnects to MA-RA would make it happen.

Thats really what im eyeing for my next rig. But idk if ill really be downsizing, or just switching cases to the Geometric Future Dharma and then running the MO-RA IV 200 outside the case.
 
What you are experiencing is the dew point reaching the ambient temperature.

This is a view for my weather station for the last 24 hours. You can see around 6 AM, the dew point and the outdoor temperature get real close.

If we look at humidity level, we can see that around 6 AM, it was near 100%.

Hotter air can hold more water than colder water. A 50% humidity at 5° C have much less water in suspension than air at 30° C with still 50% humidity. Actually the % of humidity is the % of the maximum amount of water you can hold in the air.

I live in a colder climate and we experience the opposite in winter. The cold air from outside get in our house, and because very dry after being heated to indoor temperature. That make the air very dry and uncomfortable. We actually have to run humidifier to keep it bearable.

So again, what you experience is the air no longer being able to hold all the water it have in it. The water have to condensate somewhere and it do not matter if the temperature is hotter/colder, the water just have to go somewhere. In that case a larger radiator would indeed provide more surface for condensation. But that is not because it's colder than air. That is just impossible without something that would actively cool the water.

Also, all this assume you have no air conditioning and you open your windows to cool your house at night. If you have an air conditioner, the temperature will be stable and it will remove humidity from the air anyway.

This is from a certain place in the tropics where I happened to live years ago:

That graph is from July 2024 and you probably won't believe but they're currently experiencing a drought. That place has high humidity all year and very high temperatures meaning a lot of water in the air. When the temperature drops at night all the excess water has to go somewhere.

And no, air conditioning is not very common there. Maybe 1 out of a 100 homes have one or more rooms with air conditioning and thats about it.
It's not like you'd need a radiator that big if you have air conditioning unless you're doing something out of the ordinary.
 
I do wonder how it stacks up to something like Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper 1260mm SuperNova Radiator since the designs are so radically different

Not gona lie. For a moment the wording on the picture seemed like MOPAR. But that would require just a single big fan. Sorry for the sh*tposting, though.
Had an setup a while back using Mo-ra 420 with an zalman reserator V2 and it was silent the fans only kicked in once in a while even under full load but when they did kick in they where on for a while because they had 6 liters of coolant to cool but man I loved that combo.
420 is not exactly 6 liters, but rather 6.88, and is V8. But 440 is still a superior stuff. :laugh: I hope you will get the dumb joke:p.

Are there even any decent 200mm fans available? Or can it also use 120s or 140s with an included adapter shroud/plate? Or would it be cheaper to just by a 12v automotive fan almost the same size as the radiator unit and just mount it to the front with some shrouding?
 
This should be a good solution to dump heat from PC outside the room/house(granted pump used is sufficiently powerful).
this, would be tempting adding one like this outside through a hole in the wall, then complete silence inside

Just when i put my MO-RA3 420 together and purchased another for a future build....bit of FOMO going about, but the MO-RA3 is tried and true over a good number of years.
Plus no fancy gimmicks like that light up thing, power ports, etc...

Yep, I will keep telling myself that until I believe it and remove the MO-RA IV pre-order out of my cart..
