ASUS today announced the launch of the exclusive Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Collector's Edition graphics card, developed in collaboration with AMD and Focus Entertainment and officially unveiled at the ROG press event during Gamescom on August 20. At the Gamescom press event, ASUS revealed that this card is based on the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX and is custom-built for a global giveaway for gamers and fans of Space Marine 2 and the Warhammer 40K universe.

To celebrate the game's launch, ASUS and AMD collaborated on a live stage event at the Gamescom Hall on August 23, where three randomly-chosen audience members competed to win one of the exclusive Space Marine 2 graphics cards. After several rounds of quickfire questions centered around Warhammer 40,000 lore and Space Marine 2, one of the participants received the first Space Marine 2 graphics card prize.

On other news, ASUS and Intel announce 50 new Intel motherboards.
Also ASUS and Nvidia announce 100 new RTX cards.

Yup, they didn't even have a Strix AMD card this time. The weirdest thing is honestly how there always double the amount of Intel boards, despite AMD being more popular (just look at the 7800X3D).

Asus sells like 98% Nvidia GPUs, obviously they are not going to waste time and money on making (good) AMD cards, especially not when AMD has like 10% dGPU marketshare.

So its pretty logical if you ask me. Strix is a high-end custom solution, but AMD has no high-end GPUs really. Demand is very low for AMD GPUs in general.

Asus never really made good AMD GPUs, they just re-used their Nvidia cooler and called it a day. Spending too much R&D funds on it, was pointless.

If you want an AMD GPU, usually buy Sapphire, XFX or Powercolor instead. They probably have 50-75% of all AMD GPU sales... (Consumer / Gaming segment) and don't make or sell Nvidia cards, meaning full focus is on AMD here. The exact opposite of Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Gainward etc. They have 95% or full focus on Nvidia, for good reason. They make much more money here.

Ever heard of the matrix Platinums?

Yeah thats many many years ago and it was nothing special on the AMD side.

Back then, AMD was more competitive than today. Nvidia sits at like 85-90% dGPU marketshare.

Matrix series has been Nvidia only for years. 4090 Matrix is the fastest consumer GPU you can buy. Yet terrible value.

Haven't owned an AMD GPU since the 9700 Pro. Which was only a thing because the 5800 Ultra was a flop.
