Some say "Size does matter", and this seems to be the right definition for Akasa's latest 220 x 220 x 30 mm blue LED sleeve bearing fan. The "Big Boy" operates at 600rpm, speed at which its noise output reaches 23.48 dB and its performance tops 95.63 CFM. The cooler will have a price tag of 13.95 Euro. I hope you have the right tools for proper case modifications.

holy jee wizz... thats a big fan.... nice numbers though 95cfm @ 23dB!!!!

It would definitely do wonders to the temps in your case with one of these mounted on the side...

better off with 120
MM fans

these thigns are useful on near-passive systems. the one fan can cool VGA, mobo and CPU all at once.

95cfm is a big number but im guessing thats accross the whole 22cm area which might mean the airflow will be a little slow

Me too. I think the side fan really helps case airflow if you are planning on putting the case underneath a desk or some other place where airflow around the case is limited.

yer i put mine under my desk it to big to be on top but im goin water cooling soon but i need the fan for my video cards and ram

Does a bit better than my Antec 200mm (20CM) fan. Of course, that thing is dead silent and pulls in about 90CFM of air, give or take 8CFM.

aparantly its been rumoured that the 25mm on the side of this case f**ks up the 'flow' of air inside the case.

it will still cool the components but not as good as should be

the cfm to dba ratio seems dissappointing considering the size of it...

I hope thats not true. I have a case on its way with a 240mm fan on the side, pretty much right beside my video card. I don't think it will mess it up too bad IMO with all the other fans on it.

their just rumours mate. but somewhere somebody either in this forum or elsewhere on the net has written a review or more like a report on air flow in a case & also how fans placed in the wrong places may total wreck the balance of the flow of air. I will see if i can dig it up. its been a while since i read or seen anything about it
