Welcome to the second half of September and what is nothing but a jam packed week of new game releases. The week kicks off with an almost two-year old PlayStation game that has something to do with Norse mythology gets launched on PC, although it does come with the DLC included and it's not capped at 60 FPS. As for the rest of this week's new games, we have a packed week starting with a lot of spell casting, another PlayStation game, but this time we're taking a JRPG of the highest rank, which is followed by a souls-like RPG game. Next up we have Dr Dr, which oddly enough isn't German at all, followed by another highly anticipated game that involves frozen punks. If there's nothing you like this week, you're most likely not a gamer.

God of War Ragnarök / This week's AAA release / Thursday 19 September
The sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018), God of War Ragnarök picks up with Fimbulwinter well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Odin's forces in Asgard prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world. Along the way, they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. As the threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer, Kratos and Atreus must choose between the safety of their family and the safety of the realms. Steam link

The Spell Brigade / Monday 16 September/ Early Access
The Spell Brigade is an online co-op survivors-like for 1-4 players. Team up with your wizard friends to slay hordes of dark creatures. Complete team-based objectives, unlock new upgrades and create overpowered spell synergies. Friend nor foe is safe in this friendly fire bullet hell! Steam link

Final Fantasy XVI / This week's first major release / Tuesday 17 September
An epic dark fantasy world where the fate of the land is decided by the mighty Eikons and the Dominants who wield them. This is the tale of Clive Rosfield, a warrior granted the title "First Shield of Rosaria" and sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the dominant of the Phoenix. Before long, Clive will be caught up in a great tragedy and swear revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that brings calamity in its wake. Steam link

Enotria: The Last Song / Wednesday 18 September
Enotria: The Last Song is a thrilling Soulsike set in a sun-lit land inspired by Italian folklore and filled with danger. The world has been gripped by the Canovaccio - a twisted eternal play that keeps everything in an unnatural stasis. You, Maskless One, are the only one without a given role and master of your destiny. Defeat the fearsome Authors that created it and free the world from stagnation, by harnessing the power of Ardore. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster / This week's remake / Thursday 19 September
Dead Rising returns with modern graphics! More than just a remaster, this Deluxe Remaster is a full graphical overhaul of the first game in zombie-slaughtering action game series "Dead Rising." Frostpunk 2 / This week's second major release / Friday 20 September
Frostpunk 2 elevates the city-survival genre to a new level. Take the role of a Steward and lead your city through a cascade of calamities taking place in a postapocalyptic, snowy setting. Build large city districts with their string of endless needs and demands. Navigate through conflicting interests of factions that populate your metropolis. I'm not a gamer. The spell brigade looks like a lot of coop fun though.

>GoW: Ragnarok
>almost two-year old PlayStation game
What the hell, time. I feel like it was released just recently.

GoW: Ragnarök is finally here on PC?

Dammit, I've just come back from a holiday and bought Space Marine 2. No cash left for another AAA title. Maybe during the Christmas sales?

Come on you know you want it :p

I want god of war, ff16 and frost punk 2

Some good stuff this week !
Just started God of War, the old one, but not the one on PS2, the first in the Northern saga :)
A bit disapointed for now, reminds me The Last of Us with more action ...

When at first glance at the small thumbnail I thought he was guiding in a plane or something

Too busy playing Cyberschmunk 2077. Which I got into after patiently waiting for years to get patched up. What a fantastic game.

Dead Rising Delux Remaster is censored, and made sexist changes. Hard no from me dawg.

God of War Ragnarök already? I thought it would come mid 2025!
I have to finish The Last of Us and Alan Wake 2 The Lake DLC that's coming next month first.
At least I managed to finish Phantom Liberty (all endings) yesterday.

I will be spending tens of hours with FF XVI.

Damn, this will be a srong week.

"The Spell Brigade" is pretty much a magicka clone

the one that interest me is frostpunk 2, as long as they add a difficulty slider and when it's free on epic, just as i got frostpunk 1

Did you try the demo?
It's an auto shooter, which is kind of annoying imho.
no, just saw the artstyle and type of game, if it's an autoshooter then i'll skip it even harder :D

I am sure God of War will be strong but could Final Fantasy 16 supplant Space Marine 2 at the top of the Steam Global sales. Will it catch Wukong in 3rd behind the Steam Deck for $373 CAD (274 US)?
