AMD today released the latest version of the AMD Software Adrenalin drivers. Version 24.9.1 WHQL comes with optimization for "Frostpunk 2," "God of War Ragnarök," "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2," and "The Sims 4" DirectX 11 Update. The drivers also formally release the AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) 2 feature-set, which introduces reduced whole-system latency, motion optimization, improved borderless-fullscreen support, support for all key 3D graphics APIs, Radeon Chill, and FPS Capping; and support for the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series. The drivers also introduce Radeon Anti-Lag 2 Vulkan support for Counter-Strike 2.

Why name it 24.9.1 when its October?

That's the AMD way, the driver was intended for a September release but didn't make it. Don't know why, though. I am glad it is published anyway.

Guys, imagine I come to the comments on TPU to look at anything useful and I read Twitter-like nonsense. Why ?

That is because the file name was a preview driver that was actually released in September. This is the Windows certified version of it.

Just installed them. They work fine. The new profiles SUCK though.
Performance enforces the use of AFMF. Don't like it? Custom profile
Quality enforces Radeon Image Sharpening. Don't like it? See above
HYPR-RX ECO enforces CHILL. You get the idea by now
Such a shame, since before HYPR-RX Eco (at least in my case) was PERFECT. Anti-lag + FRTC = WIN. But now only Quality is viable for a quick/dummyproof setup...At least the profiles are configurable except for their "Main" feature

I mean, something like : Those are working good on my setup / Those are buggy. OK but "WhY nAmE iS..." -> ask AMD xD

EDIT : Look at the comment above, THAT's something I wanted to read prior to the shitposts :D

I always leave everything by default when the UI (the control panel) asks what I prefer, on the first launch (I always do clean installs), then I customize the whole thing with : games -> graphics : Chill (I prefer 80/80), Sharpening : 20% (I'm old), Anisotropic Filtering x16, textures : High. Also Freesync ON for some games where I feel the "optimized AMD" just doesn't enable it but I feel it's better with it.
Then for some games I activate the AMD Super Resolution to upscale from 1080 to 1440p. (Because in native 1440p it's overheating for nothing)
I never used the Hypr-RX so I thank you for your feedback, I better not trying it :D

Also, FRTC doesn't work for every games, it doesn't work on Final Fantasy XIV (per example) so I have to use RivaTunerStatisticsServer (RTSS) and lock the exe to 80 (cause I want it to stay at 80 fps)

September 26 was when it was fully packaged, so thats why its numbered as 24.9.1. The version aligns with the date of packaging, not the date of publication.

Might give this release a go, better not crash my favourite DX11 games like 24.8.1 did!

MPC-HC crashes with these drivers when starting a video sometimes.

Imagine having a company to do stuff in the predicted timeframe and don't compare me with X. Also, I clearly stated that I am glad that they released it without further delays since the package itself is pretty nice. But yeah pick your truth (social) point of view as you wish ;)

Is it more recent/advanced than Adrenalin Edition 24.10.37.10 ?

Why name it 24.9.1 when its October?
be grateful at least the version number resembles the date of the driver, nvidia just randomly says 555.33

what renderer are you using, its fine for me with mpcVR and madVR

Using madVR even DDU and reinstalled driver same issue.

Seems to be madVR when I switch to anything else it works fine.
