Perhaps not. I am still tempted to buy it just to prove a point. Besides, idk, doesn't look so bad to me.

I do wonder the reason though. Perhaps the developers pushed hard for it? Or perhaps ea has realized it has a pr problem and denuvo isn't helping. IDK.

Denuvo games are incredibly hard to crack these days, and it keeps getting harder. There's probably been a couple as I don't pay close attention but last game I heard of getting denuvo cracked was farcry 6. And last time I checked there was only one cracker who can do it. And I don't even think they are active anymore but not sure. Apparently this person is kind of crazy.... You'd have to be, to crack these damn games. Which is why I appreciate that companies like Square remove denuvo after 6 months.

I mean sure, I'd rather it not be there at all, but this way their early sales are protected ( maybe... Hard to say with certainty if denuvo makes more people buy because there's no alternative or turns more people away that hate denuvo with every bone in their body)... But anyway those such people can pick up the game 6 months after release.

Btw people, ea is releasing the new dragon age game without any DRM. Let's show them how rewarding that can be for their sales and maybe future games won't have denuvo either. Poor sales could mean the return of denuvo. Perhaps this is a test...

STORY:

Some Context

1. FE crack (SKIDROW):

SKIDROW has released an NFO for a game named FE, which was written in Unity and encrypted with Denuvo. In this NFO they claimed they were able to remove Denuvo completely and reconstruct the game, DRM free.

2) Judgement crack(EMPRESS):
EMPRESS has released an NFO for a game named Judgment , claiming that SKIDROW didn’t actually remove Denuvo, but instead exploited a Unity engine backdoor, also slandering them per usual empress style and calling them thieves. She also challenged them to remove Denuvo from any non - Unity based game, even an older one.

My take - she feels threatened about not being the only Denuvo cracker alive anymore, considering she also makes money of it. Also, and maybe more importantly, her ego is deeply hurt cause people on Reddit now say that SKIDROW cracks are superior, since EMPRESS only bypasses the DRM and doesn’t remove it.

3) Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 crack (SKIDROW)
SKIDROW released an NFO, dissing EMPRESS back and trying to refute her allegations one by one. They also call her a hypocrite ego maniac, profiting off developers while trying to pose as a folk hero, while normal scene groups just crack for the challenge and glory. The most interesting part though, was they claiming her to be Voksi, a former Bulgarian cracker that was arrested for cracking Denuvo in 2018, and went off the radar after allegedly coming to terms with Denuvo. The last juicy part is them accepting her challenge, offering some sort of a bet - if they’ll win, she’ll have to post a sex video of herself, without the face.

So it's about "her" being transsexual, well, if she's what's the problem, imagine people not donwloading cracked Denuvo games bc of this, NO, they will hate and use the crack !!

Well I'm happy to hear there's some competition again. I guess there has been some changes since I last checked in on the scene. Maybe these feuds were the missing ingredient. Or just the fact that denuvo is a subscription now and often, though not always, gets removed on its own.

Though I take issue with the idea that downloading a torrent is somehow equivalent to working with someone, you don't have to know anything about the person who cracked a game to download a torrent, and probably, most people don't. Working with somehow however, thats a bit different.

I do fully admit empress may be a group.... Though, I lean towards thinking thats not the case.

So check this out.... apparently there was a patch for jedi survivor which majorly improves performance. BUT it also just so happens to remove denuvo.... hmmmm....

This is what I've been saying to Ubisoft ever since The Division open beta was doing a lot of stuff client side.

And then they released and their online service game turned to a cheatinfested POS. Effectively killing the Dark Zone, its extraction PVP mode, which made it shine most.

I buyed my first PC for Far Cry, next playable/enjoyable Far Cry was Primal, it has Denuvo.

Obviously they will defend their own products even though it's crap how else will they convince game publishers to use their crappy product.

Seems like they getting desperate now almost every month there is a Denuvo story and how they justify this crap.

I mean how many times have people compared Denuvo on vs off and almost everytime without Denuvo is always a better experience.

Well I do not buy games because of STEAM, EPIC GAMES, EA Launcher, Ubisoft launcher, DRM, Windows only, limited time license for a game = game is removed = game server is shutdown ...
Only a few of my windows 11 pro "single player" games do not crash without internet connection. (The premium storage space and the windows license is not cheap. You get several parts of your computer with that wasted money. I'm talking aobut a legal w11 pro license and not a grey keyshop license)

I did buy games when there was a nice box, Book, physical media. I also do not buy music anymore (there is no physical media).

I got this crap game as an add on bonus with my hardware purchase. It always crashed over XMAS 2023.
Poor graphics, poor performance, many crashes, boring game design, raytracing which was hardly making a difference for myself.

Years ago I read that denuvo puts over some kind of hardware emulation.

I think I can not give proof. Why should extra code be faster than less code for the same software functionality?

I have to pay for the extra bigger download, for the disk space, for the performance penalty

There are only two metrics. The software is faster or slower. The software uses more or less disk space. Equal basically does not exists. My choice is faster code with less disk space.

Until Denuvo works, meaning games are not cracked day 1, publishers will keep using it, no matter if the performance cost is there or not.
That Discord server seems to be to warm their image a little to attract more Indie devs, as he himself said some are afraid to contact them because of backlash from users. But in case of large publishers and AAA games that backlash doesnt mean much. So far it backfired but who knows.
