Nice, but my 8800 Ultras still crush it. :P

Zotac AMP! editions are 700/1700/1000

@ ~3x the price of a GT. Each card that is.

True, but the Ultra is the top of the line, so that's to be expected.

so much for the around or under $250 msrp set by Nvidia... i guess companies are seeing that they can sell this card for much more then was originally set... and yes i know its a stock oc card... i just cant justify the $319 price.. thats 22% more then the Nvidia said msrp of a stock 8800GT

at this price point its $100 more then a HD3870... if ATI can keep up with stocking im sure there alternative to the 8800GT will start looking better and better to consumers everyday

very much so..but unfortunately i cannot find any 3870s at all

with this OC its a shame they cant give it a dual slot cooler & keep temps from hitting the 90'c mark. tho it also depends on the temp of your room & ventillation inside your case.

Ive had problems a past summer just gone where it was so hot in my room even my x850XT PE was suffering artifacting & I had a artic silencer on it!!!

I pretty much re-frained from gaming until the even when it was much cooler.

(also I for got to mention, my AMD FX-55 clawhammer was hitting 70'c+ temps that summer. usually its areound 50-60'c)

Id be pretty worried about gaming with these during a heat wave

Buy the cheapest, slowest 8800gt you can find, spend the extra money on an after market cooler and OC like none other.

Yeah, I would, but there are none :) Nice cooler btw. I'd buy that as well, but haven't come here yet and think my VF900 will do fine, just need memsinks (&voltage). Hopefully next week there is enough 8800GTs for everyone, the more NVIDIA is out of stock of them, the more tempting 3870 becomes and I'm not alone. (not that those are stock yet either)

Um can I give ya a BIG DAAAAA no kidding and the ultras cost 600 or more and the 8800 gt cost 249 to 319 . The master of the obvious!!!!!!:roll:

Can u tell me if im right:

does the 8800 GT by Zotac has already 700/2000 as frequency? and can beat this BFG?

it should beat the bfg yes

Best thing about these cards is the lifetime warranty (10 years in the EU IIRC).

Interestingly the BFG 8800GT OC is also one of the cheapest 8800GTs you can buy here in the UK.
