I've never used any of OWC's branded equipment. Mac parts is all I've ever bought from them. They are rarely the cheapest option.

But they've been around a long time.

Is the old 10BASE-T Ethernet standard dead? It could still be a useful fallback speed when nothing else works due to long cables, poor quality cables, interference, old or unreliable NIC at the other end etc. A bit like 2G mobile telephony, PCI Express 1.0, USB 1.1 or 640x480 monitor resolution.

I do not get the point to offer just one usb-A mechanical connection on a docking station.
It's nice to see 10Gbit Ethernet

10 meg ethernet? I think that might have been useful....in 1980.

But much like betamax, 5.25" floppy disks, and DIN, we have far better standards today. 1 gig ethernet has been ubiquitous for the last 20 years.

10 megabit can still be usefull on 8bit-MCU-based IoT devices

If it would be 10GBE with a SFP+ I would buy it. 10GBE over twisted-pair is dead...

Good price on the Ethernet adapter. I wonder whether it needs a vendor driver, polluting the purity of your macOS install.
