Oh I see. Thanks for the info. They sent us a CES pre-brief press deck under embargo with the launch materials for these cards

What's weird is that the 9070 XT was never going to be a high-end product, AMD said it themselves. No one knew (or knows) where the idea of the 3x8-pin thick boys came from and why.Imagine powercolor and sapphire, they have designed a high end PCB, cooler, fans - for a card that is going to be 900+, and then amd said - well, you know what, let's make it 600
Explains those 3x8pin cards
The difference is while I do want the 9070 XT to be a great product despite all the marketing blunders around it, I do not have any sympathy for someone who hits himself in the face with a hammer for Tiktok likes.
If stores keep stocking up, then I suppose they'll want to get rid of all the excess stock that has been sitting around collecting dust for two months at that point. That's fair, whilst I've no doubt some FE cards will sell for the $999 MSRP, it'll probably be about 12 of them worldwide & every other AIB model will be WAY higher yes. But do we expect the AMD cards to be widely available at MSRP? I'd have thought the street price markup would be fairly similar on both sides, maybe a bit higher for Nvidia with their better brand recognition & higher sales numbers.
