If I could I would.. who cares what the peasants think when you can live in a different world..

For a second I missread ... who dares ... what the peasants think ....

Sometimes I wish I were colourblind. Especially when checking again that product photo

If you have a case thats Entirely metal and you can’t see inside I guess it could be acceptable.

You will still see those gold connector bracket from outside which will remind you of it'S fabulous choices of the colour palette

All the articles about the RTX 5090 could also be about a "working" quantum computer: no one has seen it, but everyone offers different models LOL

What a waste of sand. *da-bum-ts* :p

I might not like the price but I do like the way the card looks, it's different.

Some Sheik's son will be very happy

Why am i thinking this could just as well had come from sutten president. Gold shoes any one?

Je veux la même avec une couleur jambon beurre, la cathédrale de Paris et la basilique St Pierre sur la plaque arrière. Merci d'avance.

compared to a garbage product that is done after less than 3 years....
Tell that to the People still running 1080tis for almost 10 years now lol

Decadence.

A limited edition of a limited edition card?

I wouldn't even enter a giveaway for this, just because of the ASUS (tm) Coil Whine.

Now that is one ugly card. I can see how gold obsessed people would like it I guess.
Gold has the best thermal transfer!!!
So this has to be the coolest card in history!

I wouldn't say that it's just an Asus thing. At least my current 3080 doesn't have any, but back in the day my Gigabyte GTX 470 SOC sounded like a swarm of grasshoppers.

IMO coil whine is just bad luck, no matter the AIB.

What? Why? You're making a moral judgment based on what?
It's not a moral judgement, but an aesthetic one. And I agree with @azrael, it is tasteless, just as much as a golden Lamborghini Murcielago is (even just the image in my head makes me retch).

Aesop's Fables, The Fox and the Grapes comes to mind.

It's sour anyway.

:p

It’s actually not THAT tasteless. Don’t get me wrong, not my cup of tea, but at least it’s not ostentatiously glossy gold and chrome. This real, slightly faded gold and turquoise combination is reminiscent of the Ancient Egypt stylistic which isn’t the worst thing in the world. Is it still tacky? Sure. But, genuinely, not significantly more so than almost all of the other GPU designs out there. What, we are going to pretend that the regular black and red angular “xxx666xxxSatan1cxxxGamingOCTurbo” aesthetic is any more tasteful? Please. Anyone who wants an actually reasonably aesthetically pleasing piece of industrial design should just grab the FE.

Kinda comes off as a moral judgment given the use of the word "tasteless".

Regardless, this card is cool looking. I hope they do a similar thing with with the 5080 & 5070.
