NVIDIA Recommends GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU to AI Content Creators

Here is your comment about the 5070Ti:

"I didn't say BUT for the price. I'm saying even for it's price, it's the card to buy. There is nothing cheaper that is faster, not in raster and especially not in RT."

There are dozens and dozens of articles about RDNA4 over the last two months. There is no other way to read your comment except that you would never consider a competing solution to Nvidia. Not to mention the fact that you can't buy any blackwell products at MSRP or otherwise even if you wanted to. So why make the comment you made?
Bud are you serious? Currently the 5070ti is for sale. There is no 5070 or rdna4. The fact that you think id never buy amd says all we need to know about your "there are no amd fanboys" comment. Just stop. Chill out.

To be fair I'd say the average consumer would need a lot of convincing to switch from Nvidia to AMD I can't even remember the last time a person I did a build for wanted an amd gpu even in the scenarios it was cheaper and offered similar or better performance in the games they typically play.

It's kinda crazy when you consider they also won't touch Intel cpus anymore and everyone wants ryzen even when 12th gen was better than 5000 series generally speaking.

I'm a super small sample size but of the last 50 builds I've done 2 have been Intel and 5 have been with an amd gpu and that was only due to not being able to actually buy the Nvidia equivalent 3 out of those 5 times.

I'm finally getting to build with a 285k next week and that's only becuase the person does 0 gaming and is completely focused on premier pro and similar programs.

That being said Nvidia is trying it's hardest to leave a Mt Everest sized opening for amd to compete and my guess is AMD will just shoot itself in the foot even though this generation has been handed to them on a platter to crush Nvidia at the under 800 usd price point. I guess we will know in a couple weeks when we have people defending a 700 usd + is my guess 7800XT successor... Love to be wrong but amd has been comically easy to predict the last decade.

On the internet, AMD is all you get recommended. If you dare suggest an intel cpu or an nvidia GPU in something like reddit - oh boy - you are getting downvoted to freaking oblivion.

On my small circle of friends almost everyone buys nvidia but that's because they are all buying high ends (3090s, 4090s etc), amd isn't even offering an option there.

I mean you still forgot about PhysX. Apparently no one cares though and PhysX was never selling feature of Nvidia GPU's according some Nvidia fans. I guess it has fallen out of favor as being useless mostly hype and poor performing.
I know facts aren't particularly important when it comes to flaming nvidia but just in case - they didn't remove PhysX support. Just the 32bit PhysX which some very old games are using. They removed 32bit software support in general.

In other news, for profit company says "buy our product".

Stay tuned for more.

Guys, there are a million different reasons why people buy Nvidia, or AMD. There's no point in arguing about fanboyism.
I don't want to start yet another debate, I'd just like to add a personal note : I don't fanboy for AMD, I just like some of their more pro-consumers moves, I fully recognize Nvidia's GPU quality and performance, hell there was even a time when I used to root for them but as I learned more about GPUs, manufacturers and compooters in general, I realized that it was gradually worsening overtime on team green's behavior towards consumers, towards AIBs (rip EVGA) amongst other things... It's all about objectiveness people, nshittia is treating us and more like shit right now and while AMD has definitely its own faults, all we can do is root for them -and pray for Intel ARC?- to finally be competitive so we get to have more choice at a better price !

(... also I have a thing for AMD's GPU designs overall, both technical and visual, their AIBs really do make them look good, that 9070XT XFX Magnetic Air looks pretty amazing to me hahahaha)

I can't find any 5070Ti's for sale. Can you? Wait two weeks and make an informed buying decision. At least there might be Nvidia stock by then in case RDNA4 is not as good as rumored.

I once recommended a $640 MBA 7900 XTX to someone going to the US for a trip and he said that he doesn't buy Radeons; at the time, the 4080 was $1200. Meanwhile he had a 3700X in his PC and a PS5.

I never seen the 7900XTX below 800 but at $640 that would be a nice gpu becuase the alternative from Nvidia would have been a 4070.

That's the market AMD faces though and they dug themselves into that hole it wasn't always like this mindshare wise I've said this a bunch but they just need to get back to that 35-40% market share while keeping the consoles and offer good enough products to maintain margins.

The main complaint I hear are drivers which is antiquated and doesn't really apply anymore imo and FSR/RT on AMD

This was a MicroCenter "in store" price; I believe it was some time after the hullabaloo about the MBA XTX. I get that Nvidia is better at RT, but at $640, it was competing with a 4070 which is inferior in nearly all respects.

Scammers

You sure we aren't just nv fans that would never buy amd no matter what?
Some people are, I'm not arguing that. But there are people who genuinely need CUDA, or AMD's Linux support. I'm not saying they are the majority, far from it, but I still wouldn't want to resort to blanket statements.

I agree. I'm not rooting for any company that only exists to take my money. But I do prefer open, pro-consumer standards what AMD is supporting. FSR that runs on everything, open-source drivers, etc.

But I'm also doubting Nvidia's reputation for quality. Melting power connectors, missing ROPs on the 5090, their most expensive card of all things, and I also remember the GTX 970 VRAM fiasco. They seem to be doing everything they can to establish themselves as a niche brand while screwing you in the back. I don't need a niche. I just need a GPU that works (on Linux), and these days, I get that with whatever I buy.

I think, "Greedy Motherfuckers and Scammers" should become the official description of Nvidia.
Their name literraly translates to "Envy" in latin. Illustrating this companys unethical practices.
