TBF, I haven't played AC for over a decade, I just had memories of me choosing to hide in hay because fighting too many people at the same time was annoying, I favored being steathly over an open brawl ( unless i fucked up and had no other choice but to fight it out)
Stealth is the way to go if you care about the lore.

But then again stealth action games have a more limited market so Ubi made them open-world and more action than stealth and RPG and also added the usual Ubi grind. I enjoyed Revelations a lot but everything since then has been getting more generic and repetitive so I stopped playing AC after Black Flag.
