Well they limit themself with most likely not AMD compatible.

I would prefer when they would name it not similar. CUDIMM and UDIMM will maybe cause wrong purchases and frustration on some customer sides.

CUDIMMs only work on Arrow Lake so far. AMD isn't compatible and neither is Z790... including the likes of the Apex Encore. Sad. But in that shade, you may find some traditional UDIMM DDR5-8000 and -8400 kits, which is plenty good as is.

im curious why amd isnt compatible with CUDIMMS from everything i read its just a clock re-driver. should be pretty transparent to the system like adding a pcie redriver to boost signal on a long trace?
 
I don't understand. Why not compatible with older mobos? Even if with lower speeds, one could decrease the timings for a better performance? No?
