Nintendo Revises Switch 2 Product Info; VRR Support Scrubbed from Some Official Sites

Yeah I'm going to have to push back on this one. Smash fans screw themselves. Panda Global negotated an official tournament series for Smash that fell part because Smash TOs sabatoged it. It was so bad that it basically sunk Panda Global. Their reward for trying to help Smash was their oblivion. The Smash community is incredibly toxic. There is a player/youtuber named Technicals that was made persona non grata for exposing shading behavior and pedophiles in the scene. TLDR: The Smash community is toxic, self destructive, and justifiably attracts the hate they get.
All what you said itr's true. But Nintendo specifically decided not to be at EVO because it was purchased by Sony, basically killing any way to be in the same room with the rest and having some sort of cross polinization, which is how fanbases grow and shift in the FGC and keeps them healthy. Capcom has its own huge Street Fighter circuit and arguably doesn't need to be at EVO, they still aren't the same petty bitches as Nintendo and know it's good for their community to be there.

I'm sorry, even when they aren't the worst part of it, they still make the suckiest of decisions for the long term of their game xD

It couldn’t be that their games are good and they don’t have a need to discount them. You get what you pay for.

As someone that's played traditional fighting games for decades, I can tell you. The rest of the community wants nothing to do with the Smash community. They were some people, like me initially, that tried to be welcoming. However the Smash community is full of entitled players. The wanted to rest of the FGC to bend to their rules. So, no one wanted them around after a while due to their attitude. Then all the pedo stuff started happening and no one wants to touch that with a 10 foot pole.

Nintendo is apprehensive about the competitve seen in general. Capcom, Namco, ArcSys, and to lesser extent NRS, see the competitive scene as way to foster additional games sales. Nintendo titles are typically "evergreen" they sell over a long period of time regardless. Mario Kart, Breath of the Wild, Smash, even Ringfit Adventure just keep selling month in and month out. Nintendo just sees the competitve scene as additional expense. i.e. "Why spend additional money when the games already selling." That said, just about any major company is going to steer clear of a community with the type reputation that Smash has. It would be one thing if they were trying to address it but they seem to be try and bury their issues. As I stated before, Technicals tried to shining a light on it, and instead of helping him get rid of the diddlers, they shunned him.

Stick to discussing the topic.
Stop the insults.

That’s a you thing and not the fighting game community. The fact that you only point out the toxicity of Smash and not the FGC community as a whole is absolutely crazy to me. I’ve been in the FGC community for over 2 decades now and the shit I’ve seen at Tournaments(irl not just watching YouTube videos) and dealt with is something else entirely. Smash is definitely a fighting game that the community decided to pick up and take seriously whether you like it or not. It’s toxic just like SF, Tekken, Gulity Gear and MK.

Onto the PDFiles, I don’t know why they shun the man as he was correct about it being a whole bunch of diddlers and more YouTubers are calling them out on it. For the life of me, I don’t understand why people are like that and do not care to know why. It’s just gross.
