The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Launches Today - Available on PC, Xbox X|S & PS5

Game consistently crashes within a minute on my otherwise stable system. I've tried all the "fixes" suggested I can find online without success. :(
Are you using frame gen? So far the game had no crashes for me with latest drivers, maximum settings at 4k using dlaa. Up to to the exit of the sewers.

Not using frame gen.
Things I've tried:
Verifying game files
Updating gpu drivers to 25.4.1
Setting game to defaults in AMD Adrenalin
Setting high / medium / low quality and many other graphics settings in game
Trying Full screen / borderless / windowed
Renaming / deleting the sl.pcl.dll file
Running UEPrereqSetup_x64
Running Steam as administrator
Running game executables as administrator
Verifying system files with system file checker
Clearing shader cache

Consistent crashes within a minute of starting a new game. Can't even make it out of the first prison cell before a crash to desktop. Lots of others seem to have the same problem on a wide range of hardware.

It's a Bethesda game alright.

Just in case you haven't tried clean install drivers? Also are you using a dual boot os? I've had instances of major fragmentation although with Nvidia drivers. Single os fixed all my crashes. GL!

Tried DDU and clean GPU driver install twice. Not dual booting. System is rock solid stable on every other game and test I have. Bethesda being Bethesda.

It could just be something with your particular setup. There's likely a patch incoming. Give it a few days.

Is it possible that you might have a unstable clock somewhere or maybe the shader compilation process got interrupted or corrupted somehow . Have you tried reinstalling the game and maybe on a secondary drive. I have mine on a secondary drive 970 evo plus nvme drive.

Doubtful, but thanks for the suggestions. I've done my due diligence and one of the first things I tried was removing XMP profile and PBO curve but it didn't make any difference. I already tried deleting my shaders. My system is stable on any other games / benches I run on it. I did try uninstalling and reinstalling the game on my second SSD nvme drive but that didn't make any difference either. Judging from the large number of similar crashing complaints on a wide range of hardware this is just Bethesda being buggy as usual. I'll wait for a patch. :)

I watched about half a minute of this on Twitch yesterday, couldn't take more.
Dialogue system - pathetic and looking like something from 2001 at best.
Facial animations - absolutely pathetic, lagged and unsynced with voice lines.

WTF is this? I wouldn't play it even for free. They clearly did only the bare minimum to make it work or something. I wouldn't be surprised if they only took the original assets, upscaled the textures and slapped everything together in the crudest possible way.
Poor you missing all the great games of the past because god forbid everything is not made from scratch in 2025?
I could say the same thing about non-mocap facial animations in 99% of games, including new ones.
People play these games for the story and for the atmosphere. Not for ten layer deep dialogue trees and full mocap animations.

I don't have a problem with old games. I played Dungeon Master as late as 2010.

I do have a problem when someone releases a remastered version of a game and it looks like shit and it cost more than brand new AAA game though.

It does not look like shit and it does not cost more than a brand new AAA game. Both of these statements are verifiably false.
