With the new CHERRY KC 500 MX LP series, CHERRY is launching two slim mechanical keyboards developed specifically to meet the high demands of power users. Whether for office professionals who type extensively or for developers, programmers, and gamers, mechanical switches offer a highly valued typing experience.

As the first models ever to feature the new CHERRY MX Low Profile 2.0 switches, these keyboards stand out with their optimized tactile feedback, improved acoustics, and exceptional durability. The CHERRY KC 500 MX LP is available in both a classic full-size version and a compact tenkeyless (TKL) format - combining cutting-edge technology with elegant design and maximum comfort.

Precision Meets Design - with CHERRY MX Low Profile 2.0
The CHERRY MX Low Profile 2.0 mechanical switches have been comprehensively refined: with a redesigned spring, premium-grade lubricant applied with precision, and optimized mechanics, they deliver a smooth and quieter typing experience - with a lifespan of over 100 million keystrokes without loss in quality. Their low-profile construction supports ergonomic typing for extended periods, promoting a relaxed hand posture.

High-Quality Materials for Long-Lasting Performance
The combination of these new switches with durable PBT keycaps offers a premium typing experience - long-lasting, stable, and resistant to shine from wear. A robust metal plate construction ensures excellent stability while maintaining a slim profile. Adjustable feet, status LEDs, and subtle, dimmable white backlighting complete the professional package.

Two Layouts, Two Colors, One Commitment: Quality
Whether with or without a number pad, the CHERRY KC 500 MX LP series offers the right layout for any workflow. The full-size model is ideal for intensive data entry, while the more compact TKL version caters to users who prefer a tidier setup and more desk space. Both models come in stylish black or warm gray and integrate seamlessly into modern workspaces and gaming environments.

The CHERRY KC 500 MX LP series is designed for those with the highest standards: prolific typists, creative professionals, developers, and gamers who demand precision input, an exceptional typing feel, and reliable technology. These keyboards are also ideal for users transitioning from traditional membrane keyboards to mechanical models - without compromising on ergonomics or noise levels.

The CHERRY KC 500 MX LP is available now. The suggested retail price is €109.99 for the full-size version and €99.99 for the TKL version.

Looks like a perfect keyboard for me. If only localized versions wouldn't cost that much extra and if I already wouldn't have two expensive mechanical keyboards with failing switches

In true Cherry tradition, no media keys, no USB passthrough. And now even the supposedly full size model is crammed for no good reason.

Edit: Blimey, media keys on the top-right. That's new.

Maybe I missed it, but are these Blues, Browns, Reds or something else? I do like the lighter colour chassis!

They at least have volume controls. That feature is more important to me personally.

What do we have here...

Looks like Sir Timbaloo might go for a new keyboard here...

(TKL version that is)

Both low profile variants are linear: https://www.cherry.de/en-gb/products/mx-switches/mx-low-profile
Since it doesn't mention "speed", I'd assume it uses reds.

Agreed, but it's so nice to not having to go under your desk when you need to connect a USB stick or something.

Just get a Keychron K Max series board, you'll be better off with that.

I told you before, I'll tell you again: you're "better off" with keyboards having zero support only as long as nothing breaks.

I'm running a K3 right now, and while I like it in general, I still have typos all over the place despite running it for well over two years now. I also prefer the more classic layout/position of pos1, page up/down, home, end, del. I figured a Max might fix the typos, but not the layout. I wanna love it, but I can't.
