Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Performance Benchmark

Think you need to recheck your facts PC gaming is dominating consoles. That's exactly why you don't really get consoles exclusive games anymore. Just doesn't make sense to exclude a large group and growing PC gamers.

And you need to recheck your facts too, if we are throwing news and numbers here - Gaming was once Nvidia’s golden goose. Now it’s the most low-key $11 billion business you can imagine. - Sherwood News
and from article "According to the fresh earnings report it released Wednesday, gaming is now just 8% of Nvidia’s annual revenue."
Let's say you are Nvidia, do you design your next GPU architecture for that 8% of revenue or that 92% ?

Nice benchmark review but no FSR doesn't get the same treatment as a game not having DLSS

You don't even need to use FSR to enjoy upscaling on AMD cards. Hyper RX gives you much the same result in terms of performance. That is in all Games too.

Gaming existed before Nvidia, it will exist long after Nvidia will be gone.

IMO the level designs get better and better too.

I'm playing the game @ 4K Epic DLSS4.Performance now, high FPS help alot with QTE, I basically just steamrolled through combat even at highest difficulty

Excellent review. I’ve been looking at this game. I guess I’m going to have to get this one. Cheers.

I'm 45h in game now and the key press bug is only when picking actions (Item-Skill-Attack), double clicking the same key works 95% of the time, rarely it needs pressing ESC key.
Otherwise QTE keys works everytime

And the game like to crash after extended gameplay (4+ hours), probably reminding me that I need to take a breather

Of is possible, I would like again a performance comparison between DLSS, FSR and XeSS, if possible please.
I'm curios also about the quality difference between DLAA and XeSS native. I cannot really tell from those heavy compressed screenshot, to be honest...

There is no support for FSR
While it will be in a disadvantage, probably a good excuse to test AFMF 2.1 in case XeSS and DLSS are tested.

Performance seems rediculous for the visuals, it looks nothing special, its fine...but stuff that get 50 fps on 1440p should be bumped to 70 atleast to make it somewhat acceptable.
Like seriously, how can a 5060Ti only get 30 fps on 1440p....how is that possible? Nothing from what I can see impresses me at all, all visuals are just average at best, looks like any other AC game or what have you...this is rediculous.

Honestly I feel the devs did not bother and just relied on upscaling to make up for their own lack of effort.

Is this again just UE5 crap? (edit, just checked, yep it is)

also anyone else just weirded out how little difference between low and epic there seems to be?
Like look at the textures...there is no difference between the lowest setting and the highest, all I see is reflection, maybe shadow and just stuff on the floor that is a difference.
4k on Epic only uses 8.5 gb of vram....come on....give us then atleast a texture pack.
Buy some glasses my dude, you really need them.

that's not the compression, that's the way the game is rendered
Guess people should start actually reading the review article before dropping a comment, right?

so, are this rpg pc has a lot of romance option ?

also, can the characters, free to change all custom suits, into full armor suit, just like oblivion remastered ??

is there a lot option to use any range weapons, example, handguns, rifles, shotgun ???

There is nothing you can do beside a pre-defined story, there is 1 romance but it's being insinuated rather than shown.

You can change outfits to look nice and that's all, in term of RPG it's very lite.

I just started playing this game and has all settings on Epic, only to realize it's plagued with traversal stutters. As soon as I dropped shadows down to high, everything else left on Epic things were butter. I wonder if Epic settings even have a noticable image quality over high. Seems like a lot of people just run the game all on high.

There are mods out now that disable all the sharpening (I've set the ini for the mod at 0.3 for sharpening. Game Default is 1.0 max is 2.0) and remove 30fps caps on cut scenes.

I've noticed a lot more traversal stutter on my 3080ti system with 12G vram than there is on my 4090 system with 24GB.

That being said the 16 on your card should be adequate.

I've read 8GB gpus are particularly bad unless people drops settings might test that on the 5060ti before it goes to the customer, I have 3-4 more days with it.

The mod that fixes a the cutscenes is a must for sure.

Also, idk what it is with UE games, but devs are obsessed with making distance things really blurry (must be some sort of depth of field thing). Which some blame post processing and dropping that setting clears it up usually, but with this game it helps, but not entirely. Causes eye fatigue for me after a couple hours.
