EVGA is hitting the PSU market and the competition hard with their latest PSU offerings. The new SuperNOVA G2 1300 W delivers exceptionally good performance at a very nice price, which actually has the unit compete with its 1000 W capacity sibling since the price difference is minimal.

Over a period of 3 months, I purchased a Cooler Master V1000, EVGA 1300 G2, and now a Corsair AX1500i. The V1000 is a fantastic unit - but I unfortunately found it's just not enough power for the competitive benchmarking I find myself doing. I was extremely pleased with that unit and hate to be selling it, but that purchase built my trust in the reviews you're doing here based on my own experience with it.

Then I purchased an EVGA 1300 G2, again based on the reviews I read here. I should have paid more attention to the work you do here and looked more closely at the noise levels. It is definitely noisy, especially once everything else in your computer is dialed in quietly. I can hear it over 14 SP120 HP fans in my build right now just typing this post. It's a fantastic bang for the buck and very powerful unit, but it comes with its only cons (noise and not quite enough power for what I needed). So it's on EBay, also, as I await the arrival of my AX1500i.

I bought the AX1500i last night and am awaiting it's arrival. I have NEVER owned a power supply that was more than a car payment, but the trust I've gained with your reviews made me feel at ease with the purchase. I can't wait for it to get here and I guess the other two PSU's I'm selling will offset the cost a little.

I'm looking forward to the near silent operation and the massive single rail power delivery. I actually DO need close to 1.7kW for the benching I'm doing from time to time, and I'm going to find out first hand how awesome this unit is very soon.

Thanks for all your hard work and reviews, they really are helping people and I am one of them!

Update -7 year's old now , still going strong , at $149.00 , at Micro Center .

Another update - 10 years old being used in my second rig, just in case my main PC needs downtime, and it has zero issues or abnormal fan noise while powering that system's copper-modded 3080 Ti and de-lidded R7 5700X. Impressive since in this time I have had a Corsair and a Thermaltake PSU both fail while being newer than this ol' EVGA brick. I'm using exclusively Super Flower PSU's for a while now, this should be a testament to their level of quality. I thought the fan would have gotten even noisier by now, but nope, sounds about the same.

Was using in second system, now a back up ,replacing Corsair 750watt now in parts bin,
Main Rig Seasonic TX 1600watt atx 3.1 , that replaced FSP Hydro PTM pro 1200watt atx3.0 , is now in second Rig, been lucky, never had a PSU fail.

Ah, the ones that failed were a TT Litepower 650W (failed on a boot - powered, "clicked," and it was gone) and a Corsair SF600 (no idea - pushed out the magic smoke while the system was idling). Main rig has a Super Flower Leadex VII GX 1300W atx 3.1 keeping the 5090 fed at the moment, but I'm interested in Seasonic's PRIME PX 2200W unit for what the safety insurance is worth. However, I can't seem to find much solid info on how silent they are... Any noticeable noise from your TX? I'm still stocking up on parts to put an open loop in my system and have it silent, but high capacity PSU's are rarely silent under load in a hot climate

Silent running , and it should for over 500 dollars , more than enough for one 5090 and then some , if you live in the USA , the 2200W runs at 240 only, unless you get Electricians to fix you up .

True, I guess I'll snag the 2200 seeing as Der8auer swears by it. Undervolted the 5090 anyway so it should be more than enough safety margin and for future upgrades plus I'm way down in South Africa so I'm already on a 240V grid. Problem is I'll need a new case - The Antec C8 definitely won't fit that brick. Not sure if it would even fit the EVGA G2 unit which was huge for it's time.

Actually looks like a good option for water cooling. I have an Obsidian 1000D in storage but its a bit too much. Will look into that.
