AMD Announces Radeon AI PRO R9700 Graphics Card

Other than the doubled VRAM amount, possible UHBR20 support on DP 2.1 and blower fan this is the same 9070XT we know. Why would gamers want this?

Would there be any point for AMD to? They only have about 10% of the market, and even when AMD does provide better value, gamers keep on paying more for Nvidia.
There's honestly no point for nvidia either, if you want to go there. They can sell AI for more.

Sure hundreds of billions is a more interesting market than billions, but it’s really odd those billions are left under served.
I mean it's sad I agree, I'm just pointing out why it's sad. There isn't much to blame but greed from all sides.

"Other than"? That's entirely the 'sell' for this card (towards gamers).
I run a 4K OLED, and my rooommate makes 1440p+ gaming content. Both of us run out of VRAM in some of our choice games.

More specifically:
Because, (right now) a 24GB GDDR6 256-bit Navi 48 is not possible,
and
(right now) adding a GDDR7 memory controller to Navi IV plus sourcing GDDR7, would be extremely expensive,

Since a 'gamer-friendly' lower-cost 24GB isn't possible, 32GB of VRAM remains something worth charging extra for

Thus, we end up with this R9700 card, being mass-produced by AIB partners and marketed to professional and gamer, alike.

AMD's start to their own Pro+Gaming 'Titan' product range, if you would...

If you ignore the fact that the cheapest cards currently - with the best performance /$ - and the cheapest cards with more than 8gb are all nvidia, yes, amd is less egregious :D
Examples please

5060, 3060.

Funny you asked but whatever, im not going there. We get it
Of course because if I say 6700XT much less 6750XT your argument would hold no water.

Nvidia can sell AI for more, while gaming is just 6% of their revenue, there isn't any point in them selling consumer cards at all.

The fastest turd is still a turd, which they're charging too much for as well.
The 6700XT, 6750XT, and the 7700XT which has an MSRP of $449 usd and is cheaper than many of the 5060Ti 8GB cards.
It's not DOA, but the price needs to be - well , normal. 16gb of ram cost like 30-40$, if they decide to upcharge 300-500$ for it, oh well, it's called greediness.
Compare it to other workstation GPU's and you'll find out AMD isn't being greedy.

Can you send me a 6700xt or a 6750xt on stock and lets see the price and compare.

Nevermind, I checked, cheapest 6750xt i found is 366€. So - more expensive than the 5060 and a lot slower.

You were literally complaining that 50$ for extra 8gb of gddr7 is ngreedia, but now that amd will charge you hundreds for gsdr6 its not greedy. Haha, cool man.
