Welcome to the last week of the month of May where this week's major release comes somewhat unexpectedly from New Zealand's Viva La Dirt League, who are more known for their YouTube skits than games. This week you also have the chance to hunt some far eastern ghosts and monsters, build your dream abode, navigate your life as a teen again, build some train tracks in a cute world and finally drive some really expensive race cars around a track. If you own Elden Ring, you might want to check out the new expansion as well.

Nice Day for Fishing / This week's major release / Thursday 29 May
The world needs you Adventurer! Embark on an RPG pixel adventure where you'll play as Baelin the humble fisherman, who must rise-up to become the hero of Honeywood. Battle fish with precision timing and magic spells, upgrade your abilities, defeat evil and rebuild Honeywood. Steam link

The Rewinder 2 / Monday 26 May

Apologies for this being a few hours later than normal.

Was enjoying British GP so didnt even notice the timing of post.

Nice day for fishing looks like a fun game.
I guess it mostly appeals to VLDL fans.

I added a few to my wishlist, thanks!

F1 2025 a little unrealistic. No one is making a move on Piastri in 2025. Maybe the other way around. Also, don't worry about Red Bull. McLaren has the championship wrapped up already.

Thanks for another week of braving the waters of the unknown. :D

If the game is a third as funny as VLDL's NPC series it will be worth playing . . . which I don't expect it'll be if you have to read it for hours. Plus it's another pixel art sidescroller with controller-centric design and fishing seems to be mostly QTE-based.

EDIT: Not controller-centric design but controller-only design. No mouse support whatsoever in the demo.

Is it really such hard to light a car? This looks nothing like real life. The paint, the colours, the refelections, the light, the dark the people. the Tech looks very dated from year 2000 or earlier.

edit: the wheels and the physics also look awful

Nice Day For Fishing reminds me of the old mario maps.

Can the scene crack denuvo for F1 this year?

Fishing.................reminds me of Terraria..............

I like VLDL but Nice Day for Fishing was not my cup of tea. There's a demo so anyone can try it.
I don't think it was the game people hoped for. I found the demo frustrating as well.

Not accepted. I was clicking refresh for 3 days every 5 mins now.... Unaccepted!!

Just play F1 2023. Is the same from all pov. Same disastrous AI, same exact crappy graphics, same boring gameplay, same bugs, exact same annoying things like getting hit, you get penalty instead of the AI driver, same unrealistic controls, etc, etc. Did I mention no mouse support still?

Small Spaces - sounds fun, like the idea, however:
- comparatively high requirements for a "relaxing game", would be nice to play on, say, contemporary handheld,
- early access, looks like it's, pun intended, under construction,
- trailer shows just one place with a monitor on a table, so their idea of a place to live does not include place to work or (gasp!) game,
- could not see any bookshelves in the trailer :(
I hope their early access feedback, comments or "ideas change the game" to include what people do at home apart from sleeping and watching TV.

I only have 2022 version. Do you still think it could be similar?

I'll play Elden Ring Nightreign even though I didn't like the beta. I'm just starving for FromSoft.
