Just in time for the start of outdoor pool season, developer studio Boxelware is opening the gates to Aquapark Tycoon, at least for a sneak peek! From now on, players can dive into the refreshing fun and try out the new tycoon game from the indie developer - known for its successful debut title Avorion - through an extensive demo.

The demo of Aquapark Tycoon offers plenty of fun for all fans of the genre! Players can prove their skills as aquapark managers and design a water park entirely to their own vision: from pools for young and old to spectacular slides and a wellness area featuring a wide range of saunas.

Key features of the Aquapark Tycoon demo version:
  • 2 modes: Demo scenario and Free Play mode
  • 4 pools to build and customize
  • 5 unique slides, including a slide editor
  • 3 saunas to design your personal wellness oasis
  • 2 themed worlds: Pirates and Ancient Times
  • Included management features: staff, ticket prices, insights into visitor thoughts and needs
Boxelware released the demo version as part of the Cozy & Family Friendly Games Celebration 2025, running from May 29 to June 1. The demo will remain playable after the event.

The full version of the game will include additional features such as indoor area design, dynamic day and season cycles, expanded management tools, new theme worlds, and a wider variety of slides, saunas, and pools.

For the latest updates, visit the official website, check out Steam, or join the conversation on Discord. Make sure to add Aquapark Tycoon to your wishlist to keep up-to-date with the latest news!

A dream that comes true...

I love rollercoaster tycoon etc and this looks like it could be interesting...but it looks so ugly and lifeless :(

I wonder how this compares to Planet Coaster 2's water parks. I've still not gotten round to trying PC2, but it looked pretty good so this game might have some stiff competition to beat.

Have you looked into Parkitect as a Rollercoaster Tycoon alternative?

I’ve played RCT1 and 3, and once I’ve clicked the screenshots, I’ve immediately wondered why it looks worse than what I’ve remembered of the third part. (On, uh, didn’t I still play this on my 6600GT!?)
