The coffee and tea drinkers club.

:wtf:

Cold brew is superior coffee.
i am a tea kinda guy. My family has been getting their tea from a specific estate since god knows how long. I still ship the same tea 2000km to my current city lol.

My morning brew in a souvenir cup. Get my Kicks on Route 66.

I mainly drink green tea or white tea myself. They have healing properties.

Every time this thread comes up I have a sudden urge to chug a bottle of ice tea. And I have no ice tea. :(

Look up the benefits of coffee, quite a lot of good reasons to drink it.

What's a coffee you recommend I try? Lot of brands in america are junk so... not sure where to even start.

I personally like latte but of recently been getting into cold brew. Winter I usually got a nice hot latte or flat white if I’m back in New Zealand and summer I prefer an iced cold brew

Do you have access to an espresso machine?

This is our house brand of coffee. Order 12 lbs of the stuff every 4-5 months.

They flavor their coffee with Pinion nuts, which gives the coffee a really nice subtle chocolate flavor.

I personally enjoy their Traditional, Bisochitto, and Adobe Morning flavors. All naturally flavored, don't taste like chemicals like stuff from charbucks and drunkin' donuts etc.

i got this just recently after a tester pack of diff flavours:

its cold now thanks to the rain, so i am having it nice and hot with milk.

Not the right thread but a single serving of coffee usually makes me sleepy and occasionally jittery when I wake up so I haven't had one in years.

I occasionally drink some Chamomile tea with some honey.

I'm gonna be *that* guy - caffeine/toxins adrenalise the body(they don't give you energy). It's similar to putting the body into 'fight or flight' mode - a form of stress that ultimately reduces longevity.

If your nutrition, lifestyle etc. are on point, you will have natural energy throughout the day(it's still important to be aware not to burn yourself out - remember that humans in nature do/did a lot less than we generally have to deal with).

Stimulants are generally used by people as a crutch for modern life's many obstacles, instabilities and inadequacies.

I stay away from anything that increases my heartrate if I can help it.

I get it though - most people are weighed down by modern life, but taking stimulants is not ideal.

Thanks for reading(just in case, not here to start any arguments, and everyone can find the information themselves if they're interested).

I'm in the north-east, so my suggestions are biased on that (I think there are probably lots of small local roasters in your region that are likely good as I haven't travelled anywhere in the US that didn't have a bunch of good local roasters), but Mocha Joe's, Dean's Beans, Cafe Monte Alto, Brûlerie Rousseau, Ithaca Coffee Company, Mad River Coffee are all ones I've bought in the last couple years that have been great. I usually buy single-origin dark or medium-dark roasts. Dean's Beans is a company that does a lot of really great work with the growing communities in the countries they live in so I highly recommend them to anybody that asks as it just also feels good to support a company like that. Brûlerie Rousseau is in Quebec, so their pricing and shipping has gotten a bit high, but I vacationed there once and it was really good so there's some sentimental value to me on that one lol. I can't really recommend anything for light roasts as they're not my bag. Don't buy Folgers/Maxwell-House or other super cheap coffee and expect it to be anything other than "Coffee" (i.e. checks the box of "is it coffee?", but isn't good in any other way). If you need cheaper coffee, I'd go with something like Pete's Coffee that's available in a bunch of grocery stores.

HAHAHAHAHA.....my favorite 2 new memes for the day :D

But it's a shame, because both of those places use really high-grade coffee beans, but they brew it WAY, WAY, WAY too strong, which IMO makes it synonymous with burnt motor oil....and if you get some at the grocery store & make it at home, it actually makes a pretty decent cup'o joe.....maybe not the absolute finest (at least not for the US anyways), but definitely drinkable nonetheless....

And NO, I am NOT promoting either brand nor am I affiliated with either company, but I do drink a fair amount of coffee and am fairly picky about it....so just sayin....

AS a side note, if you want some coffee that will make your get up & go really get up & go bigtime, without tasting like a mix of used diesel fuel & coolant on steroids, go get some from the Black Rifle Coffee Company...

I’m a regular coffee machine with folders coffee guy, usually at least a half a pot.
If I’m in a hurry McDonald’s has $1 any size, then just Cream as when I got my first apartment times were tuff so Sugar went bye bye. Every now and hen I love a single sugar n cream, I use powdered cream but milk is favored.

I've made some pretty good cold brew out of both BRCC and Starbucks coffee. Cold brew or espresso is the best way to get strong coffee without tasting burnt.

The more important thing, IMHO, is to grind fresh. It makes it so much better. And if you use a burr grinder instead of blade, it makes a nice consistent size - perfect for a reusable coffee steeper.

- Homebrew is always the way to go. I do 1 tablespoon of freshly ground beans for every 2 cups of water for a drip coffee and i find its a good balance between flavor and strength.

I'd love to do french press more often but I am not fond of the idea of kidney stones, so filtered drip coffee is my standard even if you lose a lot of the flavor.
