ELDEN RING Nightreign, the standalone multiplayer co-op action survival game by FromSoftware, Inc. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., is now available to players, having already surpassed the milestone of 2 million units. In the game, players must navigate the twists and turns and various challenges in the harsh and unforgiving world of Limveld—a new land to explore in the ELDEN RING universe.

The game thrusts players into co-op multiplayer PVE combat against a harsh and unforgiving world. Teaming up in squads of three—or daring to go solo—they must outlast a three day-and-night cycle, making split decisions about combat and exploration across a changing map to become strong enough to take down terrifying bosses, including the occasional familiar foe from prior FromSofware games, at the end of each day. ELDEN RING Nightreign is available now in Standard and Deluxe edition as well as a physical Collector's Edition for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Darkness fell over Limveld, and two million Nightfarers rose up against it. Find out more of the challenges that await in ELDEN RING Nightreign by watching the launch trailer:

In ELDEN RING Nightreign is unlike any experience created before by FromSoftware, Inc., as a condensed action RPG where players never experience the same journey twice, and the game environment itself is ever-shifting and evolving with each new session. In the game, players choose from one of eight unique Nightfarers, each with its own unique weapons and abilities, and must make split-second decisions about combat and exploration across a map that can fluctuate with different biomes, weapons, and enemies. Each session demands that they stay adept at thinking on their feet as the encircling Night's Tide forces them into different scenarios with each expedition—just a hair's breadth can separate a victorious run from crushing defeat.

Surviving each day and outrunning the encroaching circle of fire pits players against terrifying bosses from ELDEN RING and other FromSoftware titles. On the third day, they must take on one of the game's Nightlords—new, never-before-seen bosses with a new set of challenges to overcome. Nightfarers must learn to cooperate to take down these challenges, combining their unique abilities together for an unparalleled experience in the ELDEN RING universe. All is not lost for those who fall in defeat. Unsuccessful runs will grant players relics to allow them to customize and upgrade their characters tailored to their personal play styles. Players can also discover new narratives in this parallel universe as they unravel the story behind each mysterious Nightfarer.

For an added bonus, watch the Revenant Nightfarer summon the strength of early 2000's alternative metal in a special trailer vignette highlighting her abilities:

ELDEN RING Nightreign launches for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on May 30. Details about the Collector's edition and other game editions can be found on the game's official website.

Yeah I should probably take a break.

Well, glad some folks like it, I booted Elden Ring, <felt> the 60FPS lock, and quit, it was that simple. For this type of game, where input matters, the last thing you want is to be limited. Yeah, I know about the limit removal thingy, but then you lose other functionality.

They can keep their turd. :P

So it won't be an esports game, but is the game fun? Doesn't seem to be a lot of enthusiasm about it, frankly the format doesn't appeal to me but I'm glad they're exploring other types of games with their IP.

Fighting your keyboard & mouse before fighting a monster, is not "fun" to me. ^_^
