MSI has prepared a new ITX-sized GeForce RTX 5060 8G INSPIRE ITX GPU. This compact powerhouse, coming in a GeForce RTX 5060 8 GB flavor, boasts a core clock that reaches an impressive 2,512 MHz (boost clock of 2,497 MHz), driving 3,840 CUDA cores alongside a substantial 8 GB of GDDR7 memory running at a lightning-fast 28 Gbps on a 128-bit bus. Despite its 145 × 120 × 45 mm dimensions and 581 g weight, the card remains cool thanks to the STORMFORCE FAN design, featuring seven claw-textured blades in a circular arc to maximize airflow quietly, along with a copper-core sunflower radiator heatsink that combines a high-conductivity copper core with a sunflower-style aluminium radiator. A reinforcing backplate with an airflow vent lets exhaust air escape efficiently. Power consumption is 145 W via a single 8-pin connector, and MSI recommends a 550 W PSU. Outputs include three DisplayPort v2.1b ports and one HDMI 2.1b port (up to 4K 480 Hz or 8K 120 Hz with DSC). Users can select either GAMING or SILENT mode in the MSI Center, and overclocking is available through MSI Afterburner.

they should consider 5060ti with 16gb vram or even 5070 :/

How lucky I am that Friend has small and cheap 1650 for itx build :D.
And I don't need those new stuff that is overpriced -.-.
But good to know that there is more itx stuff coming :).

More like "Noise" edition

(I had a 1060 with similar cooler (Asus...) and that could barely handle 120W, unless they reinvented physics this is going to be a disaster at 145W)

This is frankly the max size should've been allowed for this puny of a card anyway. Overbuilt coolers don't meaningfully add performance and take up space for no reason. Also this isn't noisy, it's just audible.

It wouldn't be like that if Blackwell GPUs weren't so drastically overvolted OOTB. 5060 can easily fit within 100 or, worst case, 110 W without any performance loss, yet here we are. Overvolted cards, overbuilt coolers, over the top pricing.

They are not always as overvolted as you might think. Similar things apply on RDNA3. The moment you have to run an RT workload, you'll need the volts. Better way to put it perhaps is that the voltage is not tuned to a regular raster based load. But it is tuned, the headroom you do have is likely not as big as some think. Highly content dependant.

5060 only sports 8 GB VRAM. This card is irrelevant for mid to heavy RT, whereas light RT doesn't bump the wattage all the way up. 110 W is me being conservative about that, some lucky units can even achieve 90 W.

Yeah perhaps for the 5060 that's correct, true.

90-80%% of the GPU in this calss (5060-5070) can do with this simple, efficent and cost controlled coller design with ease.
To make this the exception only show how much bullshit is being sold out there and the sad calture of making aesthetic (size, lightes, way too much fans) a primary featur.
The 10% premium stuff has become the 90% mainstereme because it`s 'look good and sexy'.
So go ahed, pay the cost of that culture that contribute absolutely nothing to what the GPU is use for.

I don't understand the champagne colourscheme of MSI's Inspire series which seems to be targeting the most compact designs at any given product tier.

It's a colour that matches literally nothing.

Cases don't come in that colour, motherboards don't come in that colour, RAM, PSUs, fans....

Why, MSI? What in the hell....?

I would rather they make a low profile card.

Someone ordered surplus of that color and the management say let’s use it!

Easy, most people don't care about color.
The case is neither solid or sit on the floor and ecstatic, that play no role in the GPU performance btw, doesn't factor at all.

MSI should really consider calling it something else. 8 Gigs ain't inspiring to anyone.

It's possible because the chip should be the 5050

The first model I've seen that truly looks like its performance tier.
