Which graphics card should I choose?

I checked the FPS values for the game Doom: Dark Ages. In terms of raw power, the 5060ti achieves 45 FPS at 1080p on high settings, but the 3080ti achieves 88 FPS at 2k ultra. I think I'll go for the 3080ti.
Those numbers aren't right.

The 3090 (which is faster than a 3080Ti gets about 70fps at 2560x1440 on ultra nightmare, but doesn't support frame generation, so 70fps is all you're going to get.
The 5060Ti gets a little over 50fps at the exact same settings and resolution but supports frame-generation, and scales much better with DLSS4 than the 30-series cards.

I'm curious where you checked the FPS values, since the numbers you posted don't match any reputable reviews on the web. Typically Dark Ages runs at about 70-80fps at 1080p max settings a 5060Ti.

Yeah, there is something very wrong with that YouTuber's system. Everyone else is getting about 55fps at 1440p Ultra with a 5060Ti.

I checked the first three YouTube results and it varies from 53-60 fps at 1440p Ultra depending on the area being tested. Those videos that include 1080p Ultra testing are getting 80+ FPS, so I have no idea what is wrong with the YouTuber you linked that's only getting 45fps.

The numbers I quoted earlier in this thread are from TechPowerup, and the numbers are a little lower so it probably means the test area is more demanding: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/doom-the-dark-ages-performance-benchmark/5.html

Realistically, the 3080Ti is a more powerful card than the 5060Ti, but not by the margin that video has led you to believe. The 5060Ti should offer about 75% of the performance of the 3080Ti, and like I said, what you lose in performance you gain in warranty, features, power consumption - and if you enable features like RT, Frame-generation, and DLSS the 5060Ti will likely claw back most of the performance gap because it has better scaling performance of all those features.

First of all, thank you very much for the information you provided. But I think I'm leaning more towards the 3080ti. For some reason, the 5060ti seems underpowered to me. Thanks to FG technology, it can achieve very high FPS, but I'm not sure if it's as good as pure FPS. But my mind may change at any moment. I need to give myself some time.

I apologize for disturbing you. Currently, the 9060xt has been released and is priced the same as the 3080ti. What do you recommend I do?

Still a tough call.

If you are happy with the 6-month warranty and the high power draw of the 3080Ti it's probably still the best option for the money. You're taking a risk and paying for the extra electricity usage and heat it throws into your room, but it's the best performance/$

All you have to do is decide if you're okay with that risk or not. I can't make that call for you.

I'm in the UK and electricity costs 4x what it does it Turkey, so I'd pay the extra for a new 5060Ti 16GB with warranty. IIRC your electricity is still dirt cheap and presumably you have an air-conditioned room so it doesn't matter that your GPU is spitting 350-400W of extra hot air into the room. Just stress-test the card thoroughly before your 6 months is up and keep an eye on the VRAM temperatures. Remember you're going to need to buy a ~1000W PSU to run a 3080Ti as well so that should be factored into the decision unless you already own a suitable PSU to power a 3080Ti reliably.

I don't have air conditioning in my room, and I'm going to buy a 3080ti for 16,000 TL, which uses 450 watts when gaming. However, the ASUS Prime 9060XT 16 GB 3-fan version costs 17,000 TL, and you know what? I ordered it. The PSU I would have to buy for the 3080 Ti would have cost me an extra 3-4 thousand TL. And it only comes with a 6-month service warranty, not a card warranty. I hope I don't regret it.

Tbh a good 3080 ti is better, otherwise I would aim for a 4070.

What's the cost of a 5060ti in your currency?

The 9060XT 16GB is a good buy regardless.

The 3080 Ti of course, are you crazy? If both are the same price then the 3080 Ti is the better buy by a wide margin.

900 USD for a 3080 Ti? Absolute blasphemy. Ripoff! If that's what Turkish prices are like, take a summer vacation to neighboring Bulgaria and buy yourself a 5070Ti or 9070XT for less money! If you want an even more affordable, and less power hungry (since you mentioned lack of AC) GPU, you can also look at the 5070 and 9070, respectively.

This, or a 9060XT 16GB, 9070 GRE, 9070.

20.000 TL but low profile model

3080ti second hand
You'll be fine with a new card.

I don't know how these second hand retailers work at your place but they usually have no warranty, implied or otherwise.

While 3080ti is faster, do think about the cost of replacement/repair should it stop working 7-8 months down the line.

Get the 9060XT and call it day imo.

Maybe check the 4070 SUPER options (make sure it's super not a just 4070). It is considerably faster than 5060TI and also 3080TI while having DLSS4 and 2x FG.
Transformer model works on 30 series just fine. I use it with a 3060 12GB and it's chef's kiss. Also lossless scaling can be used with the 30 series so FG is not a big deal either. AMD FG works with it in supported games too.

The point about crypto mining on the older card is important IMO. It accelerates the normal bathtub curve/cradle to grave of the card. If it was 40 series or AMD 7000 series there would be much less cause for concern, but 30 series was all the rage during Ethereum. NIB with warranty can more than pay for the difference in cost if Murphy's Law strikes.

I think OP has ordered a 9060XT already. Reviews for the 9060XT have been good so it seems like a good fit. Sure, it's not as fast as the 3080Ti in terms of raw power but far more power efficient, fast enough for 1440p, and comes with warranty, doesn't need an expensive PSU, and doesn't have the risk of dying like so many 30-series cards that have been mined on.

We were under the assumption that the used 3080Ti came with a 6-month warranty, but OP said it was only a labour warranty so effectively it was a used, old, 3080Ti with no warranty, high power draw in a hot country with no air conditioning and needed a PSU OP didn't have.

So I've read the thread, and given your choices, I think that Palit GameRock 3080 Ti is probably your best pick if an RTX 4070 Ti or RX 9070 aren't within your price range. The decision to buy a BNIB 9060 XT also has its merits, though it certainly won't be the highest performance. At least it's a new, warrantied card - and if it suits your needs, that's pretty much a solid option, too.

In any case, enjoy your new PC, friend.

MSRP 5070 TI or MSRP 9070XT if you can get either. Both of these offer the best objective value per SM/CU and memory config.

I was able to snag both last week per MSRP (somehow), will return 5070TI likey.

5070Ti in Turkey sells for 43-50K in turkey (1200 USD) so your suggestion is about triple the budget being discussed here.
Also this thread is finished - the OP bought a GPU last thursday for 17000TL (430 USD)

I hope he's happy with it, the prime coolers are supposed to be pretty good. Love the way they look, too.
