AMD today released the latest version of its Radeon Adrenalin graphics drivers. Version 25.6.1 WHQL comes with support for the new Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card that launched today, as well as the Radeon AI PRO R9700 accelerator. The drivers also add optimization for "Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny Remaster." Over a dozen new games get official FSR 4 support, including Deadzone: Rogue, F1 25, Frostpunk 2, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery, Lords of the Fallen, Planetaries, QANGA, Rem Survival, Runescape: Dragonwilds, Star Wars Outlaws, Steel Seed, Stellar Blade, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O, and Wild Assault.

The drivers also expand support for Vulkan API, with the addition of four new Vulkan extensions, including VK_KHR_video_maintenance1, VK_KHR_video_encode_queue, VK_KHR_video_encode_h264, and VK_KHR_video_encode_h265. The company addressed three issues with 25.6.1 WHQL. To begin with, quality and performance selections being reversed in the UI for Radeon Boost has been fixed. Display artifacts or corruption noticed with "Battlefield" on Radeon RX 7900 series has been fixed. Lower than expected performance in "Le Mans Ultimate" with RX 9070 series GPUs has been fixed.

Installed these about an hour ago no issues and looking good so far.

been using it for 3 hours and so far no driver timeouts or blackscreen flicker like in previous versions, finally, rdna drivers have been a wild ride

RX 9070 XT sensors not showing in HWiNFO with 25.6.1 on my system.

I hope they don't release drivers with issues. :banghead:

I see:
  • Lower than expected performance may be observed while playing Le Mans Ultimate with Radeon RX 9070 series graphics products.
When will they fix the lower than normal performance in Counter-Strike 2 ? :kookoo:
Are RDNA 3 and RDNA 4 broken or what?

I see why you asked...now I have to go back and see what's the deal on the 9070XT review.

Looks like an architecture thing to me. The 7900XT is pulling 135.8 FPS, I won't say its broken; however, this does not look good. 5090 pulls 348.3 FPS.

No performance increases for Starfield, I'll give these a miss.

Not a priority given that that there are far better games that could use perf increases.

I had no such problems with previous month's release on 9070 XT.

Interested to see the impact of the technical preview drivers on something like Stalker 2, or whether to wait out improvements on GSC's end (hardware ray tracing). Add Silent Hill 2 to the list given f is on the horizon!

1. do you have mpo disabled?
2. do you have a high resolution or really high refresh rate monitor/screen?

im guessing the answer is not for the second one

anyway, im not sure if rdna 4 was affected, probably wasnt and disabling mpo ""fixed"" it.

Been running the new drivers since yesterday, without any issues.

1. I haven't touched MPO since moving to AMD. I assumed MPO registry key was vendor specific. With Nvidia it was easier to disable via NVCleanstall. I haven't seen the reason to do it on AMD.
2. It's in my system specs. 1440p 200Hz. Based on your system specs you are on 4K 120Hz?

I can confirm sensor reporting issue on RDNA 4 with 25.6.1. Several critical sensor values are missing. Specifically GPU Hot Spot Temperature (Max), Total Board Power (TBP) and GPU Power Max in HwInfo64. Memory controller value in GPU-Z showed NaN when is tried to see min, avg or max values.
Rolling back to 25.5.1 fixed the issue. Based on posts above 25.5.2 should be fine too.

Yeah I would say 65534% falls into the category of.... weird. :P

Didn't realise AMD Install Manager had updated me to these, but so far nothing out of the ordinary, but I haven't gone into any monitoring software recently either. GPU-Z is telling me 2.66 has just dropped.

Nothing weird on my Nitro+:

This driver fixed the VRAM capacity on the RX 9070 series.

All previous drivers made the cards with only 15.5 GB of VRAM or 15 GB in Windows Settings About:

....
"far better games".... much subjectiveness eh?

GPU-Z is also buggy with Vega 8, the clock is reported with some wrong value there, too.

Is it`? Who exactly is asking for more Starfield? As far as everyone is concerned this game had it's shot and missed. Unless they pull a No Man's Sky type of comeback i think it will be quickly forgotten. Meanwhile as pointed out by other comments CS2 that is played by a lot of people is underperforming at the moment. Why would AMD devote limited resources to improving performance in Starfield that less than 5k players play (24h peak), compared to CS2 that roughly 1.6m players (24h peak) play?

What were the player spikes like when that Shattered Space DLC released? Not sure if that is the sort of behaviour you want from a single player game however (from a Bethesdian point of view)...

Not sure but Starfield all time peak is 330k to put things into perspective. Not sure if this occurred during the initial launch or after the DLC dropped.
