Im on a 55" 4k screen. Anything under 1800 is just slooooow.

Multiple selections enabled. If your DPI varies by game, weapon type, etc - feel free to choose all that apply and share in comments.

Damn it, messed up the last poll selection, its "1300+". Tried editing, didn't work.
I've read the whole thread and I'm not sure I've seen anyone answer your question.
People just say what they use for desktop, like browsing or work, but there's not a single answer for FPS (Shooters) games, like Call of Duty, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, etc.
Since the difference between gaming and surfing is pretty big, that's why your question in this poll asks for such a low DPI.
_______________
I have 3 profiles for my mouse 5700 DPI for desktop, 1600 DPI for FPS games and 800 DPI for very sensitive (spaceship) sniping games.

I use 4000 DPI for everything.

I can agree if you use the in-game options to lower it, or in the Windows mouse settings, otherwise in dynamic games your DPI is a lot and I'm not sure how precise you are, especially in sniper games.
As we know, there are a few places where you can decrease the sensitivity and then you can increase it in the software provided by the manufacturer.

why don't try 30K dpi in 8K
I wasn't even aware that 30K DPI was a thing, or even needed to be. I mean, because of the way the tech works, there is a diminishing return regardless of screen resolution. 10K DPI would be overkill, even at 8K res.

I've been developing the skills for many years and I have no issues with precision. I just drop a couple fingers as counter tension.

Yeah i should have added higher options too. Immediately after posting up, no edits were allowed.

Personally, I keep my mouse DPI consistent at 800 and finetune the in-game sensitivity settings. Most modern games allow separate sensitivity controls for different scopes or zooms (2x/4x/8x/etc, amongst other settings) so DPI switching isn't necessary (for me). I do dial in alternate 25/50 incremental mouse DPI configurations as I just can't and never will find the perfect sweet spot... it changes every now and then, something which was never a problem in the past but the OCDs grown on me like a back and fourth obsessive and constant dance for perfection... not a good thing, occasionally its annoying.

400 DPI is what I selected, since that's the nominal value for my Ergo m575, though product page says it can go to 2000 max.

I don't play competitive nor do I care to, so whatever default is enough for me.

why don't try 30K dpi in 8K
Because of sensor Jitter
