Washbear Studio is thrilled to reveal their next game: Railborn. Be ready to survive on a planet criss crossed with railroad tracks, building your mobile train base piece by piece.

Description
Railborn is a survival game where you scavenge for resources to build your train piece by piece. Collect rare plants to recreate dying biomes, navigate an alien world entangled by tracks, and uncover alien monoliths - all aboard your mobile sanctuary. Designed for 1 to 4 players.

Features:
Train
Begin with nothing and scavenge the world for resources to construct your train—piece by piece, floor by floor, railcar by railcar.
Multiplayer
Play alone or in co-op mode with your friends.
Track World
Navigate a world entangled in tracks—branching paths that carve through mountains and dive into the sea. Will you risk traveling on foot, or strategically steer your train to reach your destination?
Survive
Beyond the safety of your train lies a hostile, dying world—where every step is a battle against suffocation, starvation, and the planet itself.
Manage
Take full control of your evolving train - manage its power systems, direct resource flow, capture and distribute water, and customize your driving control panel to suit your playstyle.
Biomes
Save rare plants from a dying alien world to carefully recreate biomes on your train.
Mystery
Explore abandoned colonist outposts and mysterious alien monoliths to uncover the truth behind a planet consumed by endless tracks.
Rescue
Pilot your train up the ultimate track - rising into space - in a last-ditch effort to save yourself, the planet's environment, and the scattered colonists.

Origins Railborn
The original idea for Railborn was started over 6 years ago during an early prototyping event at the company. At the time Washbear felt the technology was not available to bring the vision to life. Fast forward to 2 years ago when the design for Railborn was started.

My first thought when I saw it --- ohh, the Raft but on Rails ! Nice! I will definitely try it.

After watching a stream on this the game is so weak and shallow.

It's really telling that the reveal trailer has comments turned off.

Where'd you find the stream? I'm curious. Is it like launch NMS with almost nothing to do but gather loot to gather more loot? The UI looks similar...

just a random streamer on twitch

In other news, that popular "survival game where you scavenge for resources to build a train factory piece by piece" has just had its 1.1 update that massively overhauls trains and the rail system.

I don't think I have enough time to start another playthrough of Satisfactory, and I have loads of other games I should play instead, but it was too good - I can't stop thinking about it.

Love to have some chill train adventure with my friend
