NVIDIA's DLSS Transformer officially graduates from beta today and is rolling out in its full, stable form across supported games. Following its debut as part of the DLSS 4 update, which features multi-frame generation and significant improvements in image quality, the technology has proven its worth. By replacing traditional convolutional neural networks with Transformer models, NVIDIA has doubled the model's parameters, boosted compute throughput fourfold, and delivered a 30-50% uplift in ray-traced effects quality, according to internal benchmarks. Even more impressive, each AI-enhanced frame now processes in just 1 ms on an RTX 5090, compared with the 3.25 ms required by DLSS 3.

Under the hood, DLSS 4 can tap into Blackwell-exclusive hardware, from FP8 tensor cores to fused CUDA kernels, and leans on vertical layer fusion and memory optimizations to keep overhead in check even with models twice the size of their CNN predecessors. To fine-tune performance and eliminate glitches such as ghosting, flicker, or blurring, NVIDIA has quietly run this network through a dedicated supercomputer for the past six years, continuously iterating on its findings. The result is a real-time AI upscaling solution that pairs a higher-performance AI architecture with rigorously validated quality.

im still seeing a ghosting fest, Oblivion in any dark zone or any water zone, i can barely see anything on alan wake 2 PT in water zones too.

still too many ghosting and disoclusion artifacts, but for first time in dlss history i can use it somehow. Just fix the ghosting and ill play every game with dlss or dlaa and never look back.

Autobots, assemble.

Lets wait for comparisons with middle tier gpus

Maybe turn down or disable motion blur.

It ain't the motion blur, distant tiny object will still show trails. Even something as basic as transparency on a window can cause dithering artifacts if viewpoint is still.

Already disabled on every single game i play, as i do with grain movie effects and chroma aberration.

did you ever played oblivion with dlss 4 and frame gen? just test it. TY

Nvidia marketing and media said that dlss 1 was better than native and doble the fps, then they release dlss 2 because dlss 1 got too much ghoting, then the released dlss 3 and they said it fixed ghosting, and now we get dlss 4, this time arround the image quality is better, but still is a ghosting fest.

As a nvidia fanboy did you know that frame gen x4 gives you a like 40% performance loss in native fps? This is in the nvidia powerpoints, just divide FG x4 fps and you will get the actual native fps performance, and you will see that without FG x4 you are getting far more native fps.

Haven't tested it myself too much, having a 5070TI, I even try to avoid it where I can.

Ghosting and blurring is still there alive and well together with still very noizy path tracing. Native is still king, if you have enough horsepower.
Not sure why developers are not using the TSSAA anti aliasing tech more, since it the best AA, second only to SSAA.

The sad reality of RT on even the 3rd model down from top of the range in 2025... Only the 5090, 4090 and in some cases a 5080 are actually fast enough to game with RT on. nGreedia has not pushed RT perf forward for 4 years now. I hope the 60x0 series pushes forward by at least 50% more RT perf.

same thing in the witcher 3

Have you used the new DLLs?

I added the v310.3.0.0.dll to Cyberpunk 2077 (old school method) and it fixed the awful ghosting trails on street lamps and the car mirrors while driving, but it does run slower than the last version.
