@Princess Garnet my journey begins later this year
Yes! Although... that's not soon enough! Oh, wait... we're almost in the second half of the year so that's not
that far away!? (We're already in the second half of the 2020s and I'm panicking at how fast this entire decade has been passing.)
As for the recent Steam summer sale, I got three games so far.
The first is Lost Record Bloom and Rage.
Embark on a new narrative journey by the creators of Life is Strange. Film your summer of 1995 and create memories of a lifetime with your new friends. 27 years later, confront the dark secrets that made you all promise to never speak again after that fateful summer.

I remember hearing about this one sometime late last year (I think) and being really interested in it, and then I forgot about it. Seeing it while browsing the games reminded me of it, so I got it.
Another is Kathy Rain.
The award-winning point-and-click adventure returns in the Director's Cut with an extended story, additional puzzles, and new areas to explore. Witness the rise of an iconic detective as you uncover a dark and sinister truth hiding behind the calm exterior of a small rural town.

A point and click mystery game. It's looks interesting on the surface and it's cheap enough to where I won't mind if it's not some game of the year level masterpiece. There's a sequel, but it's more expensive since it's newer, so I'll try the first one and use it to determine if I want to look into continuing with the sequel.
The last is Fear the Spotlight.
Fear the Spotlight is an atmospheric third-person horror adventure with a disturbing mystery to unravel. Sneak into school after hours with Vivian and Amy, survive a séance gone wrong, solve tactile puzzles, and, whatever you do, stay out of the spotlight…

This one wasn't even one I was aware of until seeing it. The next game I'll play will probably be Post Trauma, which launched a couple months ago but got set aside because of a certain little something called Clair Obscur. I noticed a news/update thing pertaining to Post Trauma that includes Fear the Spotlight. I took a look at it and it's a survival horror game obviously referencing the PlayStation era. Hm, so let's see. Two high school girls break into school, a cult ritual goes wrong, and now there's an entity chasing you with a spotlight. Stay out of it. I'm in!
It even has a demo, but it's ~$10 due to the summer sale and that's cheap enough for me to just get it, so I'll probably jump into that after finishing Post Trauma.
I'm also considering Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart. The biggest thing holding me off on this isn't lack of interest; it's that I have a growing lineup of games already (plus the need to account for sudden additions that always somehow tend to show up) and it will probably be on sale again by time I have time to play it immediately.
The titles I'm most wanting are all yet to be released though.
