Step Into the Light with the X98 Transparent QMK/VIA Keyboard. YUNZII is proud to unveil the X98 Transparent Mechanical Keyboard, a 96% layout keyboard designed for users who crave customization, connectivity, and a crystal-clear design. Whether you're a gamer, a coder, or a creative, the X98 delivers premium features in a striking translucent shell.

Stunning Transparent Design with South-Facing RGB
Crafted from high-transparency PC material, the X98's case and keycaps reveal a clean and modern aesthetic. Shine-through 3D-printed characters resist fading while showcasing vibrant RGB effects. South-facing LEDs and 16.8 million color options light up your workspace like never before.

Full Customization with QMK/VIA + Knob
Supports QMK & VIA for complete key remapping, macro creation, layer management, and lighting control. The programmable rotary knob (default: volume) adds intuitive control for productivity or media tasks.

Tri-Mode Connection for Seamless Switching
Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Type-C wired modes keep you connected across devices. Easily pair and switch between up to 5 devices, whether it's your laptop, MacBook, desktop, or monitor.

Equipped with a multifunctional knob and triple-mode connectivity, this keyboard offers ultimate versatility. The dual-stage silicone feet ensure ergonomic comfort, while the glossy metallic backplate adds a touch of premium shine.

Gasket-Mounted Comfort & Acoustics
Engineered with 5 layers of sound-dampening materials: Poron, IXPE, silicone, and enhancement pads. Gasket mount structure ensures a soft, elastic keystroke with a stable and refined acoustic profile.

Smooth Typing with Pre-Lubed Snow Switches
Comes pre-installed with Snow Linear Switches, offering a velvety, quiet, and fluid typing experience. Hot-swappable sockets support both 3-pin and 5-pin switches, giving you the freedom to customize.

Powerful Battery, Perfect Size
Equipped with an 8000mAh battery for long-lasting wireless performance. At 390.5 x 141.7 x 44.8 mm and 1270 g, it's compact yet solid, ideal for both desktops and mobile setups.

See the Difference with the YUNZII X98
With its transparent design, powerful tri-mode connectivity, and full QMK/VIA support, the YUNZII X98 redefines what a 96% keyboard can be. It's more than just a tool—it's an experience crafted for enthusiasts who want performance and personality in every keystroke.

Finally keyboard that I can see seed shells between keycaps :D, but unfortunately it's not fully transparent only outer shell, the pcb is hidden.
But it looks nice and strange :D

At first glance, I can't decide if I like it or hate it (thank the crappy renders & video for this), but if they were to make a full sized model, I MIGHT be tempted to buy one, if for nothing else but to see it in person & then decide whether to keep it or send it back...

You'll probably end up wanting to send it back unless you're one of those individuals that has the entire keyboard memorized like a typist would and don't mind having the LED lights showing directly like that. Imo, having everything transparent with that particular per-key LED option being used in the product is a shit combination. They need to either make the top surface of the keys more opaque(frosted) to break up the lighting a little bit and/or they need to use a smoother less-intense lighting option. Like I said, the above OP is a terrible combination for the lighting scheme.

You make it sound like those individuals are rare. I trained touch typing via a free website for an hour every day and it only took a little over a month to complete the courses in English and my own language.

Now I barely need to look at the keyboard while typing (still need to look once in a while though because I couldn't remember them all).

I encourage everyone to learn touch typing. It's a useful life skill, as well as helps expand your keyboard option.

I like the look and concept. The Volume knob is very nice as long as it has the click-button for mute/unmute. The connectivity is solid, wired mode is essential. Those "Snow" switches seem like they'd be delightful! A lot of people(myself included) are tired of the clicky switch types.

They need to need to make a model that is full size, full function. I can't live without HOME, END, PGUP, PGDN, PRTSCR & PAUBRK keys. I use them regularly.

@Yunzii
Make this in full size version and I'll buy one without hesitation.

For those interested, Amazon carries this model and it's baby brother;

Should have been called Funzii

I completely agree with you. Its a real ball ache trying to type fast & occasionally hitting the wrong key every like 20th keystroke or so. :laugh:
