PCIe Bottlenecks Slash NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Content Creation Performance by 25%

So in other words, they just confirmed again, that PCIe 5.0 is useless even for the most powerful cards.

It's nothing surprising. Surprise would be, if the RTX 5090 was bottlenecked by PCIe 4.0 16x, which obviously is still more than sufficient, as halved bandwith only slows it by 10 %.

Click baity, its fine at 4x16, and still only 10% at 3x16.

Isn't pugetsystems those guys that are bought by Intel, and lost all credibility in the comment's when someone posted that the founder of Pugetsystems is on the Intel Board of advisors ?

I own a RTX 5090 and it is running on an older system which is a Xeon w3175x (28/56) and a Dominus Extreme. I don’t notice any issues day to day gaming. But there is a 2-5% performance loss due to using PCIe 3.0 x16. It really depends on the game or the benchmark. 4K seems to present the lowest performance loss.
