I work with union members, electric, pipe, etc... I was helping get a part of the plant running and was told to get out as I wasn't union and they would file a complaint. Now mind you, a good friend is union and he was pissed that the profitability and thus the employment of the union members is at stake when the plant doesn't run and they were acting that way, we have worked together on projects, there were 12 workers and 9 were standing around. A lot have been let go by tightening policies and its made it harder on the guys who actually want to work instead of collect a paycheck and look at their phone.
Unions had a purpose, some areas they still do, but now most are bloated and cost the workers and the economy more than they are worth. Watch what happens at the Chattanooga plant in the next few years, Westmoreland....
Child labor.... lets look at, the illegals picking crops, used to be kids would take of time on the smaller farms for harvest and help, it was that way for thousands or hundreds of years, kids help, and now we have
https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/childhood-obesity-facts/childhood-obesity-facts.html fatass "
who will pick our crops" slave owner mentality. Lets instead maybe put kids into some programs where they help and learn about where food comes from, I assure you picking strawberries (organic as there are very few chemicals that work for them) for school children for 4 hours a day wouldn't hurt them, and after all isn't it the socialist dream to have communes where people work and grow food?
Now what you heard was create slave labor from 6 year old kids. What I said is to use age appropriate children for farm work just like every other farm kid.
