Creative Technology today announced the launch of the Creative Stage Pro, a high-performance 2.1-channel soundbar and subwoofer system that brings cinematic sound into compact living spaces. Whether it's on your desktop or in the living room, Stage Pro is right-sized and tuned for powerful, immersive audio—without taking up space.

The Stage Pro continues Creative's commitment to make premium sound accessible across modern lifestyles. Designed to meet the evolving needs of users who consume content across multiple screens—from late-night movie marathons to casual YouTube viewing and intense gaming sessions—the Stage Pro offers an elevated immersive audio experience in a sleek, space-conscious design. It delivers serious performance without the clutter or complexity of traditional home audio systems, making it ideal for urban living, minimalist setups, and hybrid workspaces.

Superwide is the new immersive
At the heart of the Stage Pro is SuperWide—Creative's proprietary soundstage-expansion technology. It projects audio beyond the physical limits of the soundbar to deliver an unexpectedly expansive and spatial listening experience.

Even from a compact device, SuperWide fills the room with presence and depth, pulling you deeper into your content.

Smal soundbar. Big cinematic impact.
Compact in form, bold in performance—the Creative Stage Pro delivers 160 W of dynamic sound through custom-tuned full-range drivers and a long-throw subwoofer. From explosive action to subtle details, it brings emotional intensity to everything you watch, play, or hear.

Cinematic clarity with Dolby Audio
With Dolby Audio (Dolby Digital Plus), Stage Pro enhances the way sound is perceived—offering clear dialogue, natural tonality, and refined detail across content types. It's built to elevate your audio experience from the ground up.

Tailored listening modes: Near or Far
The Stage Pro adapts to your space with two dedicated listening modes:
  • Near Field Mode - optimized for immersive close-up use, ideal for desktops and gaming setups
  • Far Field Mode - tuned to project room-filling sound from across the room

Effortless connectivity
With support for HDMI ARC with CEC, Bluetooth 5.3, Optical-in, AUX-in, and USB audio, Stage Pro integrates easily with TVs, PCs, and mobile devices—delivering high-quality audio across all your favorite content.

In typical living room setups, gaming consoles such as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 can easily connect to Stage Pro via HDMI ARC by connecting the console to the TV through HDMI and the Stage Pro to the TV via HDMI ARC.

Key features
  • High-performance 2.1-channel soundbar system with long-throw subwoofer
  • SuperWide technology for an expansive soundstage
  • Dolby Audio (Dolby Digital Plus) support for cinematic clarity
  • Dual listening modes: Near Field and Far Field
  • 160 W peak power with custom-tuned full-range drivers
  • Versatile connectivity: HDMI ARC (with CEC), Optical-in, Bluetooth 5.3, AUX-in, and USB

The Creative Stage Pro is priced at SGD199 and is available now at creative.com/Stagepro. Wherever you sit, it sounds just right.

So at no point did an audio company think it would be a good idea to include which Bluetooth audio codecs that are supported?

I think its just Dolby Digital Plus... I bought my son Katana about 6 years ago and it still sounds great without the latest codecs. The only problem is the subwoofer's doesn't go low enough as it got some ridiculously high cut off at like 50 hz or something like that.

Edit* Just saw this one goes to 30hz! About damn time.

How is Dolby Digital Plus a Bluetooth codec?
I want to know if it only does SBC, or does it do AAC or LC3? Maybe something better like LDAC or aptX?
It's not as if Creative doesn't make a bunch of headphones where they use a combination of all of those.

I completely misread your initial comment...

When they only mention A2DP, odds are the device only supports SBC. Which is the case:

These are tiny speakers with a tiny subwoofer. It's not like you'd gain a lot from a more advanced codec, though. Even its embedded USB Audio chip only goes up to 16bit 48KHz.

So a terrible purchase in other words, at least if you want to use it with Bluetooth devices like your phone.
Bluetooth audio is really a massive scam in a way, as so many things only supports SBC which sounds pretty terrible, but as most consumers are clueless, the companies get away with it.
