Vista Counterfeit Rate Claimed to be Half That of XP

Of course, another explanation could be that software pirates have actually found a way to counterfeit Windows without being detected, which would also account for the lower rate of WGA validation failures.

this is exactly what is happening. i know my "borrowed" copy passes ALL the validation tests as though i had bought it, and i didn't even need to activate or put in a s/n during install ;)

If I had the extra cash to get vista I would but I'm super broke since I had some problems but I don't think that vista would have that much piracy right now, Im still using the xp pro that came with my old pc and won't update to vista for a while

xp is still good for me:cool:

'nother vista lover here.I have been running it for six monthe with no problems.Not had a single bsod on vista,cant say that about xp.

One of the things i like about vista is,if a proggie crashes,vista can end the program fine.But on xp oh no theres goes another bsod and restart.

Just coz you dont like something,dont make it crappy.Some people like it some dont,each to his own.Its childish and nooby to keep going on about how crap something is coz you dont like it.I think some people on here should just accept that some of us like vista and move on.

Did you try opening a console window and typing;
"bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS"

I do not have to disable it each time in 32bit Ultimate and it is supposed to work in 64bit also.

That didn't work back when I tried it. I believe it's a 64bit flaw.
