damn well thats a nice feature, the 780i will no doubt retail for close to 300$ so you're saving 210$ in the upgrade.

DAMN.. im doing it now!!!! I'VE GOT 3 680i's.

$279 at the egg. Just ordered, will be here on the 28th?! I can't wait!!!

Awesome. Now does the board has to be within 3 months of purchase? I paid like $120 for mine so it's not a bad upgrade if it goes through.

Never mind:
122-CK-NF68-XX , 122-CK-NF69-XX - (XX denotes the different packing types)
122-CK-NF68-RX WILL NOT be eligible for this promotion as this was sold as a recertified product.

Mine ends w/ 63 so it's a no go. Speaking of which it has been resetting on me lately for no good reason. May be it's time to send it back and obtain a replacement.

psh i made this thread first.

I can't recall exactly but weren't 680 owners up in arms because the new 45nm chips wouldn't work on them? Perhaps this is a way of making it up to those people? Or am I mistaken on the compatibility issue, I can't remember exactly =p

only the quad core 45nm Processors wont work. Dual Core 45nm processors work fine.

SWEET! i just got approved to send mine in!
