ASUS, producer of top quality graphic solutions, unveiled today two more graphics cards - the ASUS EAH3870X2/G/3DHTI/1G and EAH3870X2/G/HTDI/1G, powered by the world's first dual RV670XT GPUs from ATI. The EAH3870X2/G/3DHTI/1G comes equipped with 1GB of DRR3 0.8ns memory modules working at 1800MHz, and two exclusive extra DVI outputs. On top of the two GPUs working at 825MHz, ASUS has decided to install specially designed heatsink with dual fans, one for each core - ensuring efficient heat dissipation. Further more, the ASUS EAH3870X2 Series will also come bundled with Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts and the well-known leather CD wallet.

That looks pretty sweet apart from the fact they have blocked up the exhaust with two extra DVI ports - On a card with two GPU's producing heat this could be a problem for other components in the case (although decent case cooling should negate this)

that looks pretty damn nice, but i agee, I wish it didnt have the 2 extra dvi outputs and instead opted for the tried and tested vent to outside method.

but 2 fans on each die sounds good to me!

looks pretty slick too!

Thats pretty sweet, i like that bolted quality look .

Cheers

i don't like it;too much heat remain in case

Really really want.

Ooh, pretty and will kill the 3870! :D

WOW!

look at that cooler! Four DVI ports? Meaning they just internally split the dual-link? They could've just bundled the dual-link splitters and kept the slot-vent handy. Users of this card should open the a metal bracket that's adjacent to the card.

The PCIE connectors must be on top angled 90 degrees, unlike the reference design posted earlier having them stick straight up from the card.

Edit: Yup, another shot - PCIE's angled upwards

Very nice. Couple that with a PCI slot cooler and even non good air flowing cases wont be an issue.

Now that's just a slap in the face. Why didn't they incorporate that thing with GDDR4 like all standard 3870's? Could've achieved higher clock speed with it, grrrrrr.

thats a beast
