regardless of what CPU's work with it, i can get a higher FSB now. I used to be capped at 425, now i can do 450+ (my CPU cant tho ) and there are many reports of people doing past 500FSB with the current 45nm chips.

Its a great move by asus, even if there arent any CPU's for it

I have been pondering whether to go with Intel or Nvidia chipsets for my next build (waiting for the Q9450) - I think this sways me back towards Intel.

I was only really considering NVIDIA because Im going to get a 8800GT and was thinkign I might SLi it in the future, But I probably never would if Im honest..........

Of course, the great benefit of chips that stock at 1600FSB is for DDR3 owners, they will finally see some real benefits from the technology, DDR1800 RAM getting somewhere near their speed potential once you start overclocking a 1600fsb chip
