Toshiba Responds to HD DVD Claims

Thats what all consumers want but thats not the case of Blu Ray. Blu ray bought themselves out. If Warner and Fox had changed sides we would be talking about Sonyt potentially calling it quits rather than Toshiba. You and I both know this.

Also better sales dont mean you have a better product. Its all about marketing and im not afraid to admit that Toshiba royally screwed that part up massively.

Hehe, yeah, and I would be feeling the same way as you would right now if it were the other way around. :laugh:

However, we can only go over the context of the situation for so long until we have to just accept it.

Yeah, it would be great if we could have both, but I just don't think it will work out that way.

some1 mentioned Blu Ray has/will win because it is a better product...

not always the case tho is it ,you only have to look back to Betamax + VHS ,Betamax at the time was a Better quality product ,smaller more reliable etc yet still VHS won.

i have no interest in buying either formats atm because currently they cost way to much for the average user imo.
until the prices drop a "lot" ill be watching from the sidelines.

:)

I dont think that youll ever find a Blu ray player at the low low price that some DVD players have fallen to I.E. $29 I think that the minimum price that you will find a Blu ray player for (ever) will be maybe $50 and even that wont happen for another 2 to 3 years i think.

50 i can live with ,just not current prices.

looks like i will be waiting a good while then before i buy 1 ,i only bought my 1st dvd player around 3 yrs ago .so i didnt exactly rush,so i can live without bluray/hd-dvd quite easily until prices are much improved.

i dont feel the need to rush out buy new tech like this as soon as its out tbh ,im quite happy with normal dvd's atm,id much rather w8 until prices drop and the machines themselves are more refined,much like current dvd players.

I dont no what 68cm is in ur measurements its small compared to 106cm palsma.

30cm = 12"

roughly 68cm is 26/27"

That means that he has a Tv thats less than in inch in diameter lol you could probably fit it in his hand lol. Seriously though Triprift I think somewhere along the lines we have our measurements mixed up. Are you sure its in centimeters and not maybe 680 cms?
