Microsoft Lists Programs That are Incompatible With Windows Vista SP1

Considering that windows xp came out in 2001, I bet those programs wouldn't work on an xp machine. That Program Compatibility thing isn't a 100% fix for 1996 programs.

I'm already using SP1 in my Vista Ultimate x64 install. No problems to report. Seems mostly the same as pre-SP1 to me.

i would, i mean i don't know why everyone hates vista so much, just as long as your not running old software or old hardware you should be good!

You can only support so much old software from 1996 or so before your OS becomes extremely bulky.
As an example of backwards compatibility that was finally nixed due to costs. The PS3 is a prime example. The costs were humongous to begin with in keeping backwards compatibility with the PS1 and PS2, thats why they (Sony) finally nixed it.

Now with Microsofts Windows Vista, They are indeed trying to keep as much compatibility as possible, (do you really think that they want their consumer base to be mad at them and to then switch to some other OS?) while still trying to reach out to the main customer base as possible. But when it comes down to a software application from say 1998 that only a couple dozen people from around the world still use, it would be a waste of time and resources to make it compatible, with Vista.

It´s just the apps which did work with Vista but don´t with Vista SP1.
The "not working on any version of Vista"-list is a little bit longer .

Does that list mean they fixed the problem with "Epson Print CD" or just forgot to list it there?
