Overclocking an Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz Dual Core

I want to Overclock my Pentium D 920 2.8GHz Dual Core Processor. Im only looking to put it up to 3.0GHz. Some say it's not worth it. BUT IT IS TO ME!!!

Check my system specs for everything else. Im sorry, but I dont know what my Motherboard is. Thanks.

I have a Pentium D 820 OC to 3.08 Ghz and it runs fine. Full load stays at 50º aprox. I would OC more, but i can't, when i reach 225 Mhz of FSB the PC don't boot.

just increase you FSB buy 1MHz till you get a speed that is suitable

I'm by no means an expert but I was able to overclock my Intel Pentium 4 2.66 up to 2.80. I'm too scared to bring it any further

Try using CPUCool. It worked great for me, plus it monitors temps and fan speed.

Well on CPUCooL, my temp sens 2 says 37 Degrees And Temp Sens 3 says 40 Degrees. How do I know what component these sensors belong to?

And is there any software that can tell me the make and model of my motherboard. Most say Asustek Motherboard and they say the model is LITHIUM. But I looked it up and all i can find are lithium batteries for motherboards.
